Crossover Challenge: Kantai Collection of the Straw Hat Pirates
Disclaimer: This is a crossover challenge/idea which I thought about after watching Kantai Collection anime, and being a fan of the One Piece manga series. Granted, most of the action takes place on land for One Piece but I can't help but grin at the crazy shenanigans that may result from the two series coming together. Needless to say, I own neither series.
Imagine, a story in which the characters of One Piece somehow managed to enter the world of Kantai Collection. What would happen when the characters of Kantai Collection meet up with the Straw Hat Pirates and their friends/allies? Well, I happen to have a few ideas:
Sanji will most certainly go gaga over the fleet ladies. Expect nosebleeds.
Brook will certainly try to peep at the ladies when they bathe, along with Kinemon and Sanji.
Momonosuke will certainly try to weasel his way into bathing with the ladies.
Most of the fleet ladies will likely find Chopper's default form adorable and may try to take him home. This may form into a rivalry between them and the ladies of the Straw Hat pirates who would not let them keep Chopper.
Luffy's appetite will certainly shock the fleet girls, including Akagi who is the big eater among them. Expect major concerns over food supply, especially meat.
Expect Franky to create some new modifications for the fleet ladies, and defy their notions of common sense in the process. He may even create a "Franky Version" of a fleet unit outfit complete with water-skating abilities, thus allowing even Devil Fruit users to travel on water.
The launching of the fleet ladies will certainly impress some folks, especially Luffy, Chopper and Usopp.
If the Fishmen and Merfolk are involved, expect the antagonists to help the Abyssal Fleet while the protagonists help the fleet ladies and the Straw Hats.
If the fleet ladies find out about the Going Merry, expect tears of remorse and sympathy. Bonus points if it is Usopp talking about it in full honesty.
Needless to say, the insane abilities of the Straw Hat Pirates will certainly shock the Fleet Girls. Their "unusual appearance" will certainly surprise them as well.
Personally, I can imagine Luffy actually befriending with the Abyssal Fleet Ladies and maybe even convince them to change sides.
If any of the antagonists of One Piece enter the world of Kantai Collection, I will not be surprised if they end up being an even greater threat than the Abyssal Fleet.
Since the fleet ladies are women and girls who possess the souls of ships, and one of the characters of One Piece included a certain ship known as the Going Merry, do the math!
These are the ideas that I have for now. Hopefully someone will take interest in it and make a full story or at least a one-shot about it. Let me know what you think about this crossover idea and if you plan to make a story out of it. Many thanks and wishes!
