Basically, kind of a Little Mermaid parody. Its a pretty short story (chapters are super short) Its not the same thing as the movie "The Little Mermaid", I changed a couple of things. First heads up, she is not Triton's daughter or anything like that, she just a normal mermaid swimming around, just so you know.

Her face brightened when she saw it. Those ships that somehow used to fall to the bottom of the sea.
"This is it." Audrey said, gazing at the sunken ship. Behind her, was a boy, well, a merboy, named by Ted, Audrey's "best friend for life".
"This is where I find all those wonderful things that come from the surface! You could find anything here, Ted."
"Oh, really?" Ted asked, thinking he would get Audrey a present for her birthday here.
"Yeah, so much wonderful things!"
See, ted has like Audrey, well, like forever. Sadly, she's never really had a thing for him. She has always been too busy with her head up in the clouds, thinking about how life up in the surface would be.
She's always dreamed of living up there, where people walk and dance, instead of swimming. She was tired of living down here for all of her life, she just wants a bit more… freedom.
Audrey and Ted swam up to the wooden boat, to find themselves with a whole collection of paintings, jewelry, clothing, everything.
"Woaaaah..." she gazed as she saw a picture of pink and orange truffula-trees. Trees, with a soft, silky touch, and the brightest colors ever. Some say they even have the smell of butterfly milk. "This is wonderful."
She also found this thing. It looked like a piece of cloth. It was pink, and very soft, she could just snuggle it and go to sleep with it. "What is this? Its so… soft" Audrey hugged it with gentle care and placed it in her little bag.
"Ummm… sure this is safe?" Ted said, a bit scared of sharks. "No sharks here, right?"
"No no, I've been here thousands of times, and I've never seen a shark around here at any time. Sharks live far away from this area."
"You sure?"
"Ted, don't be such a guppy! Now come on, lets go ask the Lorax what are all these things…"
Audrey grabbed the painting with the awkward like cloth-thingy, a diamond necklace, and a couple of paintbrushes and left to go see the Lorax, a friend of hers who told her everything of the humans' world.
