Chapter 1 The Beginning

One day a young man was about to take his adventure away. A young man who was determined to become a Pokémon master. This is the story of Brendan Ketchum.

Brendan's Mom: Brendan Ketchum your late for your first day as a Pokémon trainer!

Brendan: Uh.. Give me five more... WHAT?! Mom why didn't you wake me up?!

Brendan's Mom: You said you would wake up on your own!

Brendan: Right...

Brendan gets ready and runs off to Professor Birch's lab.

Brendan: *pants* I-I'm h-here.

Birch: Wow you sure know how to run kid.

Brendan: I'm here to get a Pokémon! It was a hard decision but I've decided on Mudkip!

Birch started sweat dropping.

Birch: Well.. Yes about that...

Brendan: WHAT?! Mudkip was already taken?!

Birch: Yes. Someone who was more punctual took it.

Brendan: Uh... In that case I choose Torchic!

Birch: Torchic.. Well you see..

Brendan: Seriously?! Torchic as well?!

Birch: Yes.. This one was quick to get it.

Brendan: Fine then I choose Treecko!

Birch: Uh...

Brendan: Taken huh... So does that mean No Pokémon?

Birch: Afraid not...

Brendan: Oh man!

Birch: Come back tomorrow.

Brendan: Okay...

Meanwhile Brendan was walking down the river. He was disappointed that he didn't get a Pokémon. Guess he has to wait until tomorrow... or does he?

Brendan: Man if I had been more earlier maybe I could have had a Pokémo-

Brendan was cut off by the sound of screaming.

Brendan: Huh?!

Brendan noticed a drowning Pikachu and its pack.

Pikachu pack: Pika Pika!

Brendan: *Gasps* That Pikachu's drowning! I have to save it!

Brendan jumped in and grabbed the Pikachu but it didn't like this.

Pikachu: PIKACHUU!

Brendan: AHHH! Gah... I know you don't like humans but you have to let me help you!

The Pikachu calmed down.

After Brendan manged to get out of the river he rushed to the Pokémon Centre protecting Pikachu from further harm. Meanwhile...

Nurse Joy: Pikachu is feeling fine!

Brendan: Thanks a lot Nurse Joy! Well time to take you back to your pack!

Pikachu: Pika Pika..

Brendan was puzzled. Pikachu looked sad.

Brendan: What's wrong? You get to be with your friends again! Isn't that great?!

Pikachu: Pika.

Brendan: That's the spirit! Let's go!

Brendan was walking when suddenly..

?: Hey you!

Brendan: Huh?

?: That Pikachu belong to you?

Brendan: No. I'm not even a trainer. I'm just taking it back to its pack.

?: Then there's no harm in catching it then! Go Mightyena!

Brendan: Hold on you cant! This Pikachu needs to go back to its pack!

Poacher: Don't care use Hyper beam!

Mightyena: Rarrr!

Brendan: AHH!

Pikachu: Pika!

Brendan: This cant happen... I know what to do. Pikachu you stay here.

Pikachu: Pika..?

Brendan: Listen you! I don't think you know who you're dealing with. I'm Brendan Ketchum from Littleroot town. And I'm going to be the world's greatest Pokémon master. Mess with me and you're gonna lose! You don't scare me! Hit me with you're best shot!

Poacher: You asked for it! Use Hyperbeam!

Just as it looks Brendan was going to get hit Pikachu jumped in and unleashed a Thunderbolt Attack.

Pikachu: PikaCHUUU!

Poacher: AH!

As soon as the smoke cleared...

Poacher: Uhh.. This isn't over kid you'll get it one day.

The poacher went and Brendan stared at Pikachu.

Brendan: I don't get it why did you help me? I thought you didn't like me...?

Pikachu slowly stood up and started walking towards Brendan. Brendan's Eyes widened and then suddenly jumped into Brendan's arms and affectionately Rubbed his cheek against Brendan's face.

Pikachu: Chu!

Brendan: Pikachu..

Brendan returned the hug and this is where their journey began.

Meanwhile...

Birch: So! Pikachu wants to go with you.

Brendan: Yeah!

Pikachu: Pika!

Birch: Have you caught it yet?

Brendan: No..

Birch: Well here's a Pokeball!

Brendan: Ok Pikachu get in!

Pikachu: Pika!

Pikachu didn't want to go inside.

Birch: Pikachu doesn't seem to like any kind of Pokeball.

Brendan: In that case you only have to be in here for a minute okay?

Pikachu: Pika!

The Pokeball blinked only once and Brendan had caught Pikachu.

Brendan: I just got a Pikachu!

As soon as Brendan rejoiced Pikachu Jumped out of its Pokeball.

Brendan: Lets go Pikachu!

Pikachu: Pika!
