The Hunger Games: Alternate Ending

I'm back with a new alternate ending. This time for The Hunger Games. It's my first alternate ending that isn't based on an animated movie.

Katniss and Peeta killed Cato and were the only ones left. The rule that said if both district tributes are alive they will both win has been taken back. You know the rest. They were about to eat the berries until Peeta roughly pushed Katniss's hand and one of the berries went down her throat. She got down on her knees and starting gasping; Peeta looked at her.

"Sorry," he said. "There can only be one winner."

He kicked Katniss aside. She twitched for about a minute before becoming still. Just then the cannon boomed and the hovercraft came and took her body away. Peeta went on to be the winner of the 74th Hunger Games, although he was hated by Prim, Gale, and half of District 12 for what it took for him to win.
