Pathogens are disease causing microorganism that live in hosts.
Every time Mukuro smiles Tsuna feels like he has caught the flu. He feels a shiver race across his body, but his forehead feels hot and his lungs hurt as if he has run a great distance.
Mukuro is dangerous. But his smiles are alluring as if they were some sort of substance simply enticing Tsuna to take a step closer to get a taste. Tsuna feels ill when Mukuro appears. It is a slow churning in his gut that is a split in his choices between running away from those sharp eyes and staying and seeing what those eyes hold in store for him.
Mukuro is like a virus that has spread so quickly through Tsuna that Tsuna is not sure when, if ever, there was ever a time this virus was not part of him. It is like Mukuro is never going to leave.
When viruses or bacteria enter the body B-memory-cells are activated to try and produce antibodies to combat the pathogens
Enma knows what kind of person he is dealing with.
The first time he sees Chrome, a shy looking girl, transform into a man like Mukuro he knows what he is in for. He can feel it in his bones. He feels his body reacting even though he tries to will himself not to react. He knows what men like Mukuro do, but he cannot stop himself from being mesmerized.
Enma is not like Tsuna. He has seen this sort of person before. He has not just recently been thrust into the mafia world with only an Acroboleno as his guide. He has been bred, born, and raised for this moment of power at the head of the Shimon family.
But it is as if a disease is spreading. Mukuro smiles. And Enma is suddenly dying from the inside out.
Viruses can stay dormant going through the lysogenic cycle for long periods of time waiting for an opportunity to infect its host when the host is at its weakest
Mukuro knows how to wait. He knows how to wait long enough that the optimum level is achieved for what he wants when he wants. And he is patiently watching two shy boys representing powerful families in a heady kind of haze.
He is powerful. But with these two under his control he wouldn't just be powerful in his own right but powerful in many other ways. He is biding his time because he knows he has all of it that he needs.
Mukuro is almost ready to pat himself on the back and congratulate himself, but he decides that narcissism doesn't suit him. He is most a sadomasochist anyway, so he holds off the feelings of satisfaction for another time.
