DOUBLE DRAGON: REQUIEM (The Ghost Of Jimmy Lee)
Billy and Jimmy Lee were studying Cheese Wire Mantis style Kung Fu together away from home in Vegas. They were very fond of each other, both brothers and best friends. The older of the two, Jimmy, died suddenly whilst visiting friends in a seemingly unmotivated attack. Jimmy was still unaware of this when one night after he had gone to bed, Jimmy opened the door. He came in, sat on the bed, began caressing him about the biceps and said: "It's only ten days since I left you and here I am dead. I am a ghost, William. But the friendship I had for you remains so that I did not wish to part without first saying goodbye." It looked as if Jimmy had make-up on, thought Billy, but he could not be sure. He was too afraid to reply, and pulled away from him. Jimmy said to him gently, "if I'd come here to upset you, would I have approached you in such a friendly manner? Don't be afraid, I only came to give you my last wishes." – "What do you want?" Asked Billy? – "This!" Said Jimmy. "Our mother is gone seventy, my wife, Marian is not yet thirty. I beg you to look after them. Keep them alive." Billy made the sign of the Dragon Fist Pump and nodded in acknowledgement [16bit integers]. "Oh, and I left an ancient scroll which holds all secrets to the hallowed Art of Dim Mak – 'The Touch of Death'. It was passed on to me by Duke, once I'd defeated him on that rainy day in the slums of Shinjuku.. " Billy gasped. Dim Mak – "The Five-Point Exploding Palm.. If what you say is true, then this could be very dangerous." He sat again on the bed, but when he looked at Jimmy this time his eyes seemed to change, like those of a cobra about to strike. Billy had seen that look before, and the inevitable flash that followed, but he had never heard the strange voice with which Jimmy now said, "I am the black dog that bites and will not let go." He stared at Billy, grinning through disfigured looks, and stinking of putrefaction. – "Get out of here!" Cried Billy, terrified. The dead one did not move. Billy jumped out of the bed and fled into the night. The dead one followed. Billy ran as fast as he could but the dead one kept tight on his heels. They ran through the streets, along rooftops, through a casino, and through the streets again until they reached a wall at the end of an alley. With his Incredible Dragon Spring Might, Billy was able to jump over the wall and fell exhausted on the other side. The dead one could not jump the wall or reach to attack with a Powerfist Smack, so tried to spit into his face; a trail of phlegm steamed and hissed past his ear.
Daybreak came and passers by, who discovered Billy lying on the ground, brought him back to his senses with a combination of Backhand Hyperslaps. Billy was not impressed. They found the body of Jimmy, took it away, and buried him.
