This is a NejiHina one-shot. I wrote it for a Naruto Forum I am now apart of. The demand for some Hyuugacest is high, so I wrote a small one-shot. VERY small.

A cool wind blows past the training area, rustling the green leaves of the tree's. Only two people stand in the center. Both their long hair blowing in the wind. Neji Hyuuga and Hinata Hyuuga. Cousins, enemies, and rivals.

"Lady Hinata," Neji says, his voice strong and crisp. Hinata blinks a light blush tracing her pale cheeks.

"Neji-nii-san," Hinata says, softly, her voice traveling over the breeze. Neji closes his eyes listening to her voice.

"So, it has been decided," Neji says, opening his eyes, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. Hinata blinks her eyes widening for a second, before smiling shyly.

"Y-Yes it has," Hinata says, shuffling her feet, her eyes flashing to the ground. She tilts her head, her violet black hair falling into her face. The ground is dry, cracked in odd places. A little black beetle scuttles along the edge of a crack. Neji glances down to where she is looking, before stepping forward.

"You do realize fate has brought us together, and pulled us apart when we were younger. Now, our destinies are about to merge into one," Neji says calmly, reaching out, placing his hand under her chin. She blinks and her blush strengthens.

"Y-Yes, I-I realize that," she murmurs quietly, not daring to look up at him. Neji continues to look at her, before dropping his hand.

"But, the question is, Lady Hinata, are you prepared for whats to come? Are you alright with this all?" Neji inquires, not once dropping his gaze. Hinata blinks and glances to the side, as she plays with her hands-

"I am, and...And it doesn't bother me. In fact," Hinata begins, her voice wavering faintly, "In fact, I'm h-happy." Neji nods, and lets out a sigh.

"With this marriage, conflict between the branches will be settled. It's like an unwritten treaty," Neji says, more to himself then her. Hinata nods this time.

"A-And you'll be..be happy," Hinata says, finally looking up at him, into his flawless light lavender colored eyes. Neji locks eyes with hers, causing her to gasp softly.

"Lady Hinata..." Neji says, his tone softening. He then steps forward, closing the gap between them, wrapping his arms around her waist. Hinata gasps and blushes, blinking a few times.

"N-Neji," Hinata says, biting her lip, as she places a hand against his shoulder.
Neji just smiles lightly, as he leans down, gently grazing his lips over hers. He closes his eyes, inhaling her scent.
Hinata blushes and her eyes flutter, her other hand raising to rest on his shoulder gently, as she tilts her head up. Neji takes this opportunity to capture her in a passionate gentle kiss. His arms, pull her close into him, holding her tightly, but gently against his body. He then spreads her lips with his, as he gently slides his tongue into her mouth. She gasps lightly, but returns the kiss.

After a few moments, Neji slowly pulls away, his eyes opening slowly.

"I love you." Is the only thing he says.

The breeze rolls lazily across the training grounds, the leaves rustling louder, as if clapping. It was only the beginning of something more to come. Something beautiful. Something, that will bring the Hyuuga households together. A marriage, between two people, twof riends, and most importantly, two lovers.
