A/n: Just a short one shot. This is part of a journal that Quil keeps in order to document Claire's life. It's total FLUFF but I felt obliged to write it. Review, tell me what you think of the idea. (I know I'm really bad at ending my oneshots so help on how to better do so would be nice!)

What Do You Wanna Be When You Grow Up?

When growing up with Claire I kept a sort of journal full of all things Claire. In this journal I keep funny quotes, bad memories, good memories, and just signs of her aging. Once every year I would sit her down and ask her a handful of questions to put in this journal. One question I always enjoyed asking was, "What do you wanna be when you grow up?"

Her answers area as follows:

Claire-age five: "Queen of the Universe!"

Claire-age six: "A firefighter."

Claire-age seven: "A zoo keeper."

Claire-age eight: "A vet."

Claire-age nine: "A singer. LaLaLaLa…"

Claire-age ten: "A famous movie star."

Claire-age eleven: "A pilot, so I can fly wherever and whenever I want."

Claire-age twelve: "I want to be a teacher."

Claire-age thirteen: "I'm going to be a doctor. They make tons of money you know!"

Claire-age fourteen: "I want to be a Dental Hygienist. Wait, on second thought, Eww no that would be gross."

Claire-age fifteen: "Being an archeologist would be really fun. You get to go all over and dig up old stuff like fossils and discover ancient cities."

Claire-age sixteen: "I don't know! Do I really have to answer Quil?!"

Claire-age seventeen: "An artist. I'll move to New York and live off my paintings."

Claire-age eighteen: "I'm going to be a writer. I'm going to publish a plethora of books and become famous."

Claire-age nineteen: "Quil, why even bother asking anymore? All I want to do is be with you forever."

Claire-age twenty: "I want to stop being a student and finally be a novelist."

Claire-age twenty one: "I want to be Mrs. Quil Ateara."

Claire-age twenty two: "Quil I am grown up and I am now officially an English Lit. Major!"

Claire-age twenty three: "Well I'm now an author! One book published a lifetimes more to write."

Claire-age twenty four: "In four weeks I will have fulfilled me life dream of being Mrs. Ateara!"

Claire-age twenty five: "No comment."

Claire-age twenty six: "Well I now go by 'mom'. So what more could I want to be?"

Looking back on this part of the journal makes me chuckle. Claire is always so creative and spunky. Claire has always been artistic; drawing, painting, and writing. We started going out when she was a teenager. She was ecstatic to finish school and start her career as an author. At the young age of twenty three Claire published her first book. I proposed to her and we were married while she was twenty four. When Claire was twenty six she gave birth to our first daughter Madeline. At the current time Claire is expecting the birth of our second child. I think it's going to be a boy. My journal entries in this section are over for I believe Claire is officially grown. She has done a lot with her life. She is an author, a wife, and is now a mother. I still add to this but it is mostly just a book on our shelf to look back on for a good laugh now and again. Madeline also likes to read it with me and compare herself to her mother. So I'm off, to go adventure with Claire and to gather up even more moments to add to this.
