Originally I was going to skip over this one, but the way Cam sounded when she told Brennan "You're late" and how Brennan grabbed for her when she got the call about Booth, well it had to be done. This of course follows "Suitable Mate" the next installment will be entitled Reactions and will be 4 parts

Cam's POV written for 4x14 Hero in the Hold

Temperance was supposed to be honored for her work, and I was waiting for her at the lab with Angela and Dr. Sweets. It wasn't like her to be late.

"You're late." She went on about how it had taken her longer to get dressed than she thought, and seeing her in that dress, well I didn't mind the wait at all. She was breathtaking in the dress, but I was definitely looking forward to getting her out of it. Dr. Sweets tried to call shot gun, but I wasn't going to let him, Tempe was mine, and I was going to sit next to her in the car, and hopefully avoid Angela's gaze while placing my hand on her thigh. I was also planning to lay next to her in bed later that night, and if I was lucky I could persuade her to talk about living together. She'd avoided the topic when I asked, and I let her, but I really did want her to think about it. My thoughts were interrupted though as her phone rang, and she froze.

"The Gravedigger has Booth." I knew that her experience with the gravedigger bothered her a lot more than she let on. Hodgins was a bit more open about his distain for what had happened to the two of them, but being buried alive had bothered her just as much as it had bothered him. She was openly untrusting of Hodgins when we started working, but then she became more reserved. She was worried about Booth and I felt Tempe pushing me away after she and Hodgins had found Vega's body, but when she'd gotten Jared to get Vega's body, that didn't matter.

I was willing to do anything for her. Catching the bastard that had done this to her would give me pleasure. We barely spoke, but I think she knew that I was there for her. When we found out where Booth was, she went to him, and I felt as if I were being cast aside, so when Agent Perotta showed up at the lab I couldn't help but flirt with her. She was a very attractive woman, and she flirted back. I was under the impression that she was just naturally flirty, but she was giving me the attention Tempe hadn't taken the time to give. I placed my hand on her arm and she let me lead the way to our hostage.
