Chapter 00 – Gunman 101
In a room somewhere, , shrouded in shadow, a boy paces back and forth. As he paces, he speaks.
"The Gunmen were created as a manmade creation, based on machines created by the semi-human alien race called Beastmen," He spoke to himself, "They operate using a arm-control system which allows it to use the pilot's thoughts as a guide to act."
He paced further, sighing to himself.
"Utilized to defend the invasion of the Beastmen, they proved effective for defense and attack," the boy continued, "Man and Beastman fought for five years, using the Gunman and the Beast Gunmen."
Back, and forth, back and forth.
"That was, until he came into the picture," The boy smiled, "A man known simply as Kamina, who motivated his fellow man to fight, and took the fall for his allies. Because of his actions, we repelled the Beastmen invasion, using our ultimate weapon against them."
He stopped pacing.
"I know this better then any other 14-year-old in my generation," The boy's smile grew wider, "I was there. I felt the heat of battle, I fought the threats of the Beastmen... And I was there, when the invasion was won."
Turning, the boy revealed his hair, dyed dark blue, and his goggles, placed on his head like someone you'd see in Digimon, only more badass.
"My name is Simon Shiitaru," The boy smirked, crossing his arms, "And this is my story…"
We zoom out, revealing that he was standing on a giant ship, rather then a room we thought before.
"GURREN LAGANN! SPIN ON!" Simon shouted at the top of his lungs, "JUST WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM?"
The camera zooms out more and more, revealing that the ship is massive, and a giant face is on the front...
