Hey guys this is my first story that I'm actually going to publish. I'm the type to talk or in this case type a lot so I'll try to keep it a minimum. But if you like this story, please review and if you have a plot idea for a chapter, pm me. I'll respond at some point.

Kousei walked the all to familiar path to the hospital with an uneasy stomach. He just got back from the competition, and wanted to see if the operation worked for Kaori.

Just that week she seemed to have had a seizure, which might have been one of the reasons she took the risk of the surgery. He didn't know the details. He did remember her soft sweet voice telling him she'll be fine. He remembered the day she collapsed and sobbed onto his shoulder, telling him that she didn't want to die. He did little to comfort her because, what could he do? He was sad himself. He didn't want to lose another person he loved.

He loved her.

He remembered telling Watari that as they walked up the hospital steps. That was the day of her seizure.

He shook out the memory of that day, of him watching in horror as the doctors ushered them away from the door, telling her to keep her eyes open. Her hand falling limp.

He put a warm smile on his face as he spotted her parents in the waiting room. Kaori's mom stood up and hugged him. Her dad simply nodded with a anxious look on his face.

"The operation isn't over yet?"

Her mother simply shook her head. "Please Kousei, stay with us. I'm sure she'd be happy to see you when the operation is complete"

If she's still alive, her eyes said. Kousei sighed and nodded.

Soon, late at night, the doctor came out of the operating room. Her father stood up, clearly ready for the news that his princess passed. But the news he got was shocking

"Kaori is resting. The operation has been a success. You —"

The doctor was interrupted by Kaoris mother " she's-she's... ALIVE?!

Her father looked at her pointedly. "Of course she is dear"

All the while the adults were talking, Kousei gazed at the hallway. Oh, how he wished he could see her now. He took out his phone and texted his friends Watari and Tsubaki. He smiled before hitting send

Kaori is alive. Her operation was successful.

Ohayou! Hope you liked it! It may seem short but it's because this is the foundation of the story. Be free to pm me anytime. Until next time arigato and zai chien (yes I know it's two different languages)
