Nico searched his pockets—as he had been for the last five minutes or so- and clucked his tongue when he didn't find what he was looking for. He turned to Rachel. "You got a quarter?" he asked.

"Your dad is the god of riches and you don't even have a quarter?" she asked disbelievingly at the irony, though she didn't actually care much. She knew that Hades didn't always give Nico money because he was "too spoiled". (However, the next time that Nico would ask he usually got the money.) Besides she had more than enough money to share.

"I don't get quarters. Only hundred dollar bills," he responded sarcastically.

She reached in her pocket, pulling out one shiny coin. "Here," she said, handing it to him. "What do you need it for anyway?"

"Skittles." He shrugged and left to go get them.

Rachel watched as he impatiently tapped on the glass, waiting for his Skittles to drop down from the spot that it was in. She had to laugh when Nico smacked the front of the vending machine, deciding that fifteen seconds was ten seconds too long.

Nico sat back down next to Rachel on the bench inside the subway station and chewed a mouthful of Skittles. "Want some?"

Rachel rolled her eyes before smiling at him. "Give me some," she said, holding her hand out. Popping some in her mouth, she teased, "How did I get stuck with you again?"

"Not sure, but aren't you one lucky girl?" he responded cockily.

"Yeah," she agreed, ignoring his attitude. "I am."

A/N: So…yeah. That was my first Rachel/Nico. Tell me how I did.
