Draco walked as fast as his legs could take him. He could not stand it anymore he loved Hermione Granger and he was going to tell her, tonight. He was heading to the Head Girl and Head Boy dormitories. Draco was in his 7th year. He and Hermione had been selected Head Boy and Girl. Draco and Hermione were not what one could call friends but they were not enemies either. They were still on a last name basis though.
"Chocolate Frogs" he said hastily to reveal a Ron and Hermione kissing hungrily. As soon as the door shut they stopped abruptly. As soon as he saw them he felt hot watery things forming in his eyes, but Draco knew better than to collapse on the floor and cry in front of them. "Well well, Granger I thought you said you had homework to do?" "That is none of your business, Malfoy." "And you" Draco said to Ron "Are not allowed outside your common room this late. Now. Get OUT." Draco hissed. "Whatever, have a good night, ferret" he snorted. Draco said nothing jaw-clenched, nostrils flaring he said "Goodnight Granger" All Hermione did was glare at him. Hermione felt strange after, almost guilty, she saw something in Draco's eyes that she had never seen before, it looked like he was hurt. Hermione considered Draco having a crush on her before, but knew better than to suspect the Slytherin Prince fancied her. This kept Hermione up all night and was desperate to keep this pressure off her chest, she decided to go to Draco's room and apologize for delaying her duties and going off snogging Ron.
Draco was heartbroken. He was hurt tears rolling down his cheeks, he was not necessarily sobbing but tears were just there. He too had been up all night until he heard a knock on the door. He quickly wiped the tears off and opened the door. "Malfoy, I'm really sorry for not doing my duties and helping you patrol the corridors" "I'm sorry I yelled at your boyfriend like that Granger" he forced himself to say. "You don't have to apologize" she said with a chuckle. "Oh well then you should be aware that I did not mean what I said at all" they both chuckled. "I really am sorry" "Oh its okay" Hermione reached and hugged him, and at that moment both felt a warm feeling shoot up their chest, Hermione Granger are you starting to have feelings for Draco Malfoy? she thought to herself, on the other hand Draco was feeling very happy Hermione had never hugged him. She had never really touched him in a affectionate way. They broke apart, faces inches apart. "Well goodnight erm…Draco" Goodnight…Hermione"
