Chapter one~ Friendly greetings

Johnna was working hard at a small café in Risembool. She had just made a batch of Chocolate chip muffins and put them onto the display cases so the public could see them. She wiped her forehead off with the back of her hand as her break approached. She sat down at a table in front of the café as a tall, blonde man approached. He stood up there waiting for someone to take his order.

Johnna saw the man waiting and went back to her post in the café to serve him. "Sorry about your wait, sir. I am the only one working today. Anyway, how can I help you?" She asked with a smile as she looked at the man. There was something about this man that was making her wonder about him. She wanted to know more about him. She quickly shook her head and waited for him to answer.

Alphonse smiled back at the woman and then cleared his throat. "I would like a blueberry muffin and hot chocolate please." He ordered. She took down the order and then went to the back to make the muffins. Once she put the batch into the oven, she made his cup of hot chocolate. "Here is your hot chocolate and your muffin will be ready in just a few minutes." She said while waiting him with a smile.

Once the batch of muffins were done, she wrapped his muffin in a small baggy and handed it to him. "Enjoy your muffin, sir." She said with a smile and then walked back out to the tables, sitting down for her break. She didn't know that the blonde man followed her to the table. "Mind if I sit here?" He asked rather softly. Johnna's face flushed a bit and she nodded. "Sure, you can sit with me." She whispered and took a sip of her sweet tea.

He held his hand out to her and she took it gladly. "I am Alphonse." "I'm Johnna, nice to meet you." She said with a blush.

For the next thirty minutes they sat there chatting and laughing at each other's jokes. Soon, Johnna's break was up and she quickly jotted down her phone number for him. "I would love to talk to you again sometime." She said as she went back behind the counter at the café.

~Later that night~

Johnna relaxed on her coach. She had had a long day at work and now she just wanted to relax. She closed her eyes for a second and at that moment; the phone rang on the table beside the coach. She picked the phone up, "Hello?" A masculine voice answered on the other end. "Hello, this is Alphonse. I just thought that I would call to see how the rest of your day was." Johnna's face flushed. "Thanks for calling. My day was pretty busy. I am so exhausted. Thankfully, I am off for the next two days." She told him with a smile.

"That is good. I was wondering…" There was a brief pause of Al's end. "I was wondering if you would like to go out to dinner with me tomorrow. I know that we just met but I would really like to get to know you more. You don't have to if you don't want to, I will understand if you don't." Johnna's eyes widened, her smile widened even more than it already was. "I would love to. Where do you want to meet?" She asked, trying to keep herself from having a heart attack. She was surprised that this man had wanted to go out with her when he had just met her this morning. "How about that sushi restaurant on Maple St?" Johnna smiled and nodded, even though he can't see her. "That sounds great. I will meet you there tomorrow night at seven? Does that sound good to you?" "Yeah, that sounds great. I will see you then. Take care and sleep well." "I will, thank you, Alphonse. You do the same." She hung the phone up.

She knew that she would go to bed with a smile on her face tonight.
