Summary: Ali is stressed. Her science fair project is due Monday, she has millions of chores to do, plus her teachers are giving her PILES of homework. Things get even worse when she wakes up to find Legolas in her room. Not a Mary-Sue! Well, it actually kind of is. Oh well.

A/N: Yes, I am aware that there are probably a million stories like this already. Tough luck! HereÕs another one. DonÕt forget to review, whether you like it or not.

Prologue

It was early Sunday morning. Sunshine gleamed through the windows. The sounds and smells of sizzling bacon and pancakes wafted up the stairs. I groaned and rolled over. Next to me, I heard my friend mutter something indistinguishable.

ÒHuh?Ó I moaned, dearly wishing that the night had about eight more hours.

ÒSomeone please turn off the sun,Ó Ellie repeated.

ÒDitto that,Ó I agreed. ÒLetÕs go back to sleep.Ó

ÒFine with me!Ó she said, curling into a ball under the warm covers.

As I prepared to close my eyes to the world, I heard Ellie jump. ÒAli?Ó she asked.

I sighed. What could she want? It was too EARLY too think! ÒWhat?Ó

ÒI didnÕt know that you got a Legolas cutoutÉÓ she said, slowly.

It took my brain a while to figure out that one.

ÒLike Meggie has!Ó Ellie said helpfully.

Oh, I knew what she was talking about. Her sister had a life size cardboard cutout of Legolas from the Lord of the Rings movies. ÒUmmÉ I donÕt have one. Are you alright?Ó I asked, a bit concerned about her health. ÒI really think you need some more sleep.Ó

EllieÕs voice started shaking. ÒIf you donÕt have one,Ó she said, Òthen whatÕs that?Ó

Probably a hallucination, I thought. I was starting to get a little annoyed. However, being the wonderful friend that I was, I decided to humor her and look. I made sure to grumble and groan as I slowly sat up. Turning to my right, I waited for my eyes to adjust to the light. Once I could finally see, I saw what Ellie was talking about. I didnÕt believe my eyes

ÒOhÉ myÉ goshÉÓ I said, falling out of the bed.

A slender arm grasped my hand. ÒIÕm sorry to upset you,Ó someone said, in a manÕs voice, strange, yet somewhat familiar. I didnÕt believe my ears.

I looked up into the heavenly blue eyes ofÉ Legolas.
