"There it is." said Grover.

All I saw was a big hill."Is that the entrance to this camp you were talking about?" said Thalia.

"Probably just over the hill." I said, eager to get there. Grover nodded to prove my point. "Up the hill!" he said. and we went on.

That's when we saw them. As we climbed up, a legion of empousa jumped up to us. I reached for my knife, but Thalia stopped me. "No." she shouted over the empousa's battle cry. "Luke. Annabeth. Grover. You run to the camp. I'll hold back the monsters." Luke looked worried. "NO!" he shouted. "Thalia, I can't leave you. Not after all we've been through!" Thalia's electric blue eyes flared. "B-b-bye." we both said, tears in our eyes.

I had had enough, and apparently so did Luke, so were were running around the hill. Some kids in armor came the hill, and they joined the fight. Before long, all we saw were swords clashing against armor. Suddenly, everyone retreated, including the monsters. Lightning struck the very top of the hill, and a pine tree was somehow... there. Bet before the lightning struck, I had seen a body. Thalia's body. "Sh-she-she's gone." I said. Luke came over to me. "Annabeth..." he said. "Oh..."
