James Sirius Potter

1. For his entire life, James has been deathly afraid of dragons. So when the rest of his family went to spend a portion of the summer holiday with their uncle Charlie on his dragon reserve, James was very insistent on staying home, though he never told his family just why.

2. James has always worshipped Teddy, and considered him his older brother. In fact he didn't even know they weren't related until he was nine and casually asked why Teddy wasn't always around, and Harry had to explain that he and Teddy weren't actually brothers. He spent the rest of the day in his room, in a deep depression.

3. James, Fred, Dominique, and Roxanne have been inseparable since birth it seems, and together they earned the fastest detention in Hogwarts history by setting off fireworks in a compartment full of possible Slytherins on the train ride. James likes to proudly state that a few new wrinkles magically appeared on McGonagal's forehead that day.

4. James and his troupe of pranksters continued to mercilessly terrorize this same group throughout Hogwarts, and he nearly flipped when he found out that Dominique had invited one of them, a mousy girl named Elouise Pucey, over for winter holiday. For the rest of the break he refused to even make eye contact with either of them, until Elouise, finally having enough, stormed up to him and told him very firmly that she was Dominique's friend too and he needed to get over his feelings towards her because she wasn't going anywhere any time soon. He never thought he would be happy that she did.

5. James was always a kisser, and greeted all of his female friends with a kiss on the cheek.

6. Contrary to what his family believed, he was actually closest to Dominique rather than Fred. It wasn't that James wasn't close with Fred, he was. It was just that he and Dominique could talk about more serious things, because, out of all of their friends, she was the most mature.

7. When James got a tattoo of a lion on his shoulder blade Ginny was horrified, and though Harry pretended to be disappointed, but took him aside and told him it looked really cool.

8. James was the biggest ladies' man Hogwarts had seen in years. After all what girl wouldn't want to date Harry Potter's son?

9. He will deny it until he's blue in the face, but he secretly loves the tabloid magazines that his mother says are trash. He keeps a small stash tucked under his bed, away from the prying eyes of his siblings.

10. James has received several detentions for hexing his cousins' and sister's boyfriends. He is by far the most protective of the Weasley/Potter boys.

11. In his sixth year he was hit in the face with a stray bludger and developed a mild case of amnesia and will forever remember Roxanne's heartbroken face when he didn't recognize her, and from that moment on he vowed to make it up to her in any way he could.

12. It was only when Elouise and her friends showed up in the hospital wing to visit him, all of them looking very concerned and Elouise looking close to tears, while he recovered from his amnesia did he begin to think that maybe they could bury the hatchet. He decided the hatchet was as good as buried when Quorra Zabini, who had hated him most of all, gave him a sincere apology for the way she had treated him and shook his hand.

13. The first time James saw Elouise as anything other than Dominique's friend was when he fell asleep in the back seat of Dominique's car during a road trip during summer holiday, and he woke up to her singing along with Matt Nathanson's 'Modern Love', with her hair in a tangled, wind-swept mess, with her hands in the air. That was the first time he thought she looked truly beautiful.

14. He once walked in on his sister dancing to muggle music in her bedroom. They've been having dance parties together ever since.

15. When Rose told the family she was dating Scorpius Malfoy, James sat him down and explained very clearly where he would stick his wand if he treated Rose badly.

16. When James was offered a position in the auror program, he was so excited he swears that his jaws aren't working nearly fast enough to get a proper 'yes' out.

17. When he stood drunk and rain soaked in Elouise's flat and proclaimed his love for her, he thought she was going to throw him back out into the rain. He never expected to wake up in her bed the next morning, with the sound of her singing and the smell of coffee coming from the kitchen.

18. When he and Elouise get married Dominique hugs him and says he couldn't have chosen a better girl for him.

19. When James found Fred curled up in his bedroom, clutching a letter from his estranged birth mother, during their seventh year, James began to develop hateful feelings for Angelina Johnson. He couldn't believe any decent human being could hurt his amazing cousins, and he swore that if he ever got the chance he would tell her exactly what he thought of her.

20. James never thought of himself having a big family, but he loves Elouise and their four children, Serena, Gabriel, Paige, and Claire, more than humanly possible and he would die for any of them in a heartbeat.
