Prologue.
10 years before the Fall…
The boy's feet grew heavier and heavier as he ran through the sand. His dark skin glistening with sweat in the moonlight, as he ran away. The sand crunching under his feet as he ran as fast as his small legs could take him. Tears were streaming down his face, as would be expected from a child fearing for his life.
A ear-rupturing roar was heard in the Night, before a large black scaled tail crashed on the sand in front of the boy, stopping him in his tracks. When he turned around, He was faced with a great serpent, with pitch black scales that shimmered in the moonlight, and red eyes that burned with the same ferocity of hellfire.
The mighty beasts tail coiled around him, confining him to a tiny space, granting him no escape.
All he could see was the darkness of the night, the shimmer of the moon on the scales of the beast…. And those demonic red eyes of the great serpent… "I-I don't wanna die…." He cried out, his tears streaming down his face with even more emotion and fear present in his expression.
"P-please…. I don't want to die…." he called out once more, but weaker… his voice turning into a frightful babble. He shut his eyes from the fear that overwhelmed his mind, his body weakened to the point of collapse. This was it. He was going to die. But then…
A sudden flash of white flew through the sky, causing the great monstrosity to reel back with a massive gash in its scales. All the boy saw however was the creature slowly slithering away, and a tall figure standing before him, a slender silver blade in his hand.
The figure looked back at the boy and said softly, with a tender and compassionate voice. "It's going to be okay…. I'll keep you safe."
These words comforted the boy enough for him to regain his composure enough to stand up. "B-big Brother?" He asked fearfully. Before being interrupted by the older of the two, who stated, "Stay back Vincent… I'm going to take care of this. I promise."
The boy would run and hide behind a large rock, watching the battle from afar. The clashing of silver, and black mesmerizing him as he observed. The elder brother, named Victor Foxwood dashed at the beast again and again, slashing at it with all of his might, His shimmering silver eyes glowed with the determination of a true hero.
The young boy named "Vincent" watched in awe at his heroic older brother, who would continue to fight for him.
The mighty beast would swing its tail at him, only to be countered by the flash of his blade. Little however, did the hero know, that the beasts jaws approached his right arm, clamping down on him, forcing him into the sand, causing him to drop his blade.
Little vincent now could do naught but watch as the beasts razor like teeth dug into his older brother. Blood dripping from Victors arm onto the beach, staining the sand red.
It was at this moment, the boy felt the urge to do something incredibly Stupid, And yet incredibly courageous. He ran to his brothers sword grasping it in both hands, before running at the great monster while it was distracted, and jamming it into the beasts neck, just below the jaw.
The mighty creature would screech in pain before releasing the elder brother, and smiting the boy away from it with its claw, sending him into the sand 50 feet away.
Upon seeing the beasts actions, the elder brother leapt forwards weakly, grasping his blade from the monsters throat, tearing it out and cleaving the mighty creatures head from its shoulders… and like that, it was done… his brother was saved, but at a terrible cost.
For the boy, would gain his own life…. But lose that of his brother.
