'Now that is brilliant!' The Doctor said pulling on my arm but I got the idea so he let go and I ran alongside him. I didn't know where he was going but I was too used to this when I was travelling through the TARDIS. Rule #1, run. I laughed when I saw the concentration on his face as he squinted to look into the distance. We ran down onto the beach and that was when I saw it.

The blue police box. That brilliant man had finally done it. The TARDIS was back on Parallel Earth.

I could barely control my excitement of seeing the crazy time lord again. I had my Doctor but who knows what face the other one was wearing now.

The door opened and a man with longish brown hair wearing a suit and… was he wearing a bow tie and a Stetson?

'Come along Ponds!' he announced as he jumped out onto the beach and two more people followed. A woman with ginger hair and a man beside her.

'Doctor?' the woman with the ginger hair asked in a Scottish accent, 'This isn't home.'

The Doctor turned to face her still not acknowledging our presence from about ten metres away. 'Right… Are you a hundred and ten percent sure?'

'Doctor, I think we know where we live and it is clearly NOT on a beach!'

'Don't you want another adventure Ponds? We could be on any beach in the entire universe! Who knows what planet we're on or what life forms live here?'

'It's definitely Earth. There are two perfectly normal humans over there.' The man pointed to us behind the Doctor as if we were the most obvious things on the planet.

The Doctor turned to face us slowly and I saw his face clearly for the first time. God knows how many faces he's had since last I saw him but his eyes are always the same.

The shock registered on his face but it soon turned to triumph. 'Oh Yes! Who da man?!' He yelled and the ginger girl looked less than amused. 'You said you weren't ever saying that again.' she complained.

The Doctor didn't turn from us to answer. 'Well I underestimated my genius and thought I would never get back to Parallel Earth again didn't I?'

'There's a Parallel Earth now?' The man asked but this time the Doctor ignored him and he ran up to me and hugged me, really tightly.

'Rose Tyler!'

'I see you're regenerated. Again.'

'Doctor? Who is that?'

The Doctor broke away from me and exclaimed. 'Ponds may I introduce you to the extraordinary Rose Tyler! Rose these are the Ponds, Amy and Rory! Now shake hands or something so I'm not the only one looking cheerful.'

I hadn't realized I'd stopped smiling, I guess it's been so long that I've seen the Doctor that I kind of hoped I'd have some non-apocalypse time with him. I smiled again as I shook Amy and Rory's hands and took my place back with my Doctor taking his hand and squeezing it.

'And you are?' Amy asked my Doctor. Both the Doctors smiled.

The Doctor did a dramatic rolling of his hands before he said 'Now this is going to blow your minds! This man, is me!' Amy looked at her Doctor like he had finally lost the plot altogether.

'Oh you wouldn't get it would you. Basically my hand was chopped off and it later regenerated into a human copy of me who stayed here with Rose in this dimension!'

'You used to look like that?' Rory said looking at my Doctor rather accusingly.

'You're wearing a bow tie now.' I said mockingly glaring at his new fashion sense.

'Bowties are cool.' Amy rolled her eyes behind him.

'And a cowboy hat.'

'It's a Stetson. I wear a Stetson now.' This time Amy and I both shared the same look.

'It's better than the Fez.' she said, trying not to giggle.

'You. Wore a Fez. Please tell me you burned it?' I asked Amy laughing.

'River shot it during WW2.'

'River?' I asked.

'She's my wife.'

'New face, new fashion sense and a WIFE now? Jeez, how many times have you regenerated.'

'Only once more.'

'How come you stopped travelling with the Doctor then?' Rory asked.

I paused, remembering the way I fell into the portal along with the Cyber men and Daleks. 'There are only three ways you leave the TARDIS, the Doctor leaves you, you leave him or you die.'

'Which one were you?'

My Doctor smirked. 'Rose had to be different. I or I guess he would never leave her, and she would never leave me or him. She fell into a portal into a place where the Doctor could never land. Parallel Earth.'

'Are you two married?' my Doctor asked Rory and Amy.

Amy hugged Rory briefly and said 'A while now, probably about two days back home.'

'That's new. But just to clarify he isn't taking parents now is he?'

The Doctor looked sheepish. 'Doctor! I thought taking my mum would have done you a lesson!'

'Yes but well, I didn't PLAN on it. The TARDIS just materialised around them. It's not my fault Rory wanted to take his dad!'

Rory looked about to protest but the new Doctor continued 'Well then, Rose Tyler. How about we talk some more over some tea and jammy dodgers?'

Amy rolled her eyes at her Doctor as she hooked her arm through the Doctor's and they set off to the nearest café.
