The Dragonborn: Mild Mannered Dragon Slayer.
Here is a fun situation: Have a Dragonborn doing something VERY normal (shopping, visiting friends) then proceed to VERY calmly obliterate a dragon in under a minute. It can be anywhere, but bonus points if the Dragonborn really does not seem like the kind of person who does that sort of thing. Bonus points if they before the battle get a snide comment from someone about being a milk drinker.
Ria held a gold tavern style dress up to her front and glanced up at Njada. "What do you think of this one?" she asked.
Njada raised a critical eyebrow. "I think it's perfect if the look you're going for is whor – "
"rrrRia!" the Dragonborn cut in quickly, "That dress won't do you justice. It's not right for your skin tone. You always look so beautiful in earth tones – and you're gorgeous in white, especially white - like . . . this one!" Sammi held up a dress with similar lines and a lot more fabric.
Ria looked uncertain, but scurried off to Arcadia's to try on the dress anyway.
Sammi and Njada leaned against the well in the market and waited for Ria to return. While they waited, Sammi chatted with Camilla Valerius, oohing and aahing, as the woman pulled various items from several large chests.
Sammi grinned at her friend. "Camilla, I have no idea how you convinced Lucan to let you take this show on the road, but Talos bless you!"
Camilla grimaced. "Talos smite me, if I'd had to spend one more day in Riverwood," she groused.
Four unfamiliar warriors strode up the main street of the plains district. One of them, a stout Nord woman with excessive war paint, shouldered roughly past Sammi nearly toppling her over.
"Hey! Be careful, friend. You nearly dumped me into the street," Sammi said with a friendly smile.
The mercenary whirled on her and shoved her towards Camilla's opened chests. "How about I dump you in one of those chests and lock you inside of it until you learn your place, Elf?!"
Njada snorted and broke into a huge grin. She crossed her arms over her chest and looked from Sammi's flushed face to the mercenary. "You just let your mouth overload your ass, Friend," she said matter-of-factly.
The mercenary misunderstood, "I don't have a quarrel with you, Kinsman."
"Ohhh, I'm not talking about me," Njada smirked.
The mercenary spat on the ground in Sammi's direction. "You can't be talking about that puny milk-drinker. I'll box her pointy ears."
The Dragonborn's eyes flashed. Camilla put a calming hand on the little Bosmer's arm. "Now, Sammi," she began, "don't go getting all worked up."
"That's right elf," the mercenary mocked, "wouldn't want you to hurt yourself on my fist."
A ground-trembling roar ripped through the air, and everyone in the Market looked up in panic as a dragon landed with a crash a few feet behind Sammi.
"Today you meet your death Dovahkiin," the dragon began.
"Not now," Sammi interrupted, holding a hand up in the dragon's face.
The dragon paused with an incredulous look in its eyes for a moment before raining frost down on the Dragonborn in a rage.
"Gods dammit," Sammi cursed. "Can we not go one freaking day?" With a sigh, she whipped a Daedric dagger from her boot and turned toward the dragon.
58 seconds and 3 destruction spells later, Sammi was perched on the dragon's head stab-stab-stabbing her dagger through its eye sockets. The scaled beast crumpled to the ground and began to burn away. "That's what you get for being in such a snit," Sammi muttered to the soon-to-be bone pile.
She hopped down and glared at the dumbfounded mercenary cowering on the ground. "Get up!" she ground out.
The woman stood, and Sammi noticed a dark spot spreading on her armor. She grinned in pure malice at the woman when she realized what it was. Clearing her throat, she announced loudly, 'Why don't I lock you in one of those chests, until you learn not to piss your armor?"
"You puny weakling", Camilla added flatly.
Njada lolled her head back and closed her eyes nodding in silent mirth. "Classic!"
"What do you think?" Ria chirped as she emerged from Arcadia's in the white dress. When no one spoke, she looked from Njada to Camilla to Sammi in confusion. "What'd I miss?"
