It was a quiet morning; the birds chirped outside. A ray of sun danced on Finn's sleepy face. Back and forth the light went. Finn groaned softly and turned to his side. The light found him again and he finally opened one eye, only to see his daughter sitting happily on his stomach, playing with the sun's ray.

He opened both eyes and smiled "Hey kido" Finn sat upright on the bed and picked the girl up. "You awake already?" He started to tickle her and she let out a happy gurgle. "Hehe, cute"

He kissed her forehead, then sat her down on the bed again and turned to his wife. "Good Morning honey" He whispered softly and kissed her. "The baby's up"

"Already?" Flame princess was half-asleep; last night the baby had kept both of them up till late. She turned over to look at Finn and smiled "Morning"

"You want some breakfast?" Finn asked.

"Mmhm" Flame princess answered. Then she drifted off again to sleep a bit more before she had to wake up.

Finn grabbed his toddler "Do you want to help daddy cook?" The baby giggled enthusiastically. He set her carefully on the floor and proceeded to walk to the kitchen while the baby followed.

"Okay, you wait there, while I get the ingredients." Finn started to look in the cabinets while the baby walked around the living room. The girl never ceased to find something new every day; she loved exploring just as much as her father. Suddenly, she saw something that peaked her interest, and went for it.

Not too long after, Flame Princess came down from the bedroom. She saw her husband loyally making breakfast and sneaked up behind him to give him a big hug. "Gotcha'!" She said energetically

"Whoa, you surprised me" Finn had been caught off guard.

"You can now officially say Good morning" Flame Princess said.

Finn turned around and returned her hug, so they were face-to-face "Good Morning" he gave her a kiss on the lips "I love you"

"I love you too" Flame princess smiled and turned to look behind him "…And your eggs are burning"

"Woa-" he let go and turned off the stove quickly.

Flame princess looked around "Finn, where's the baby?"

As he was blowing away the smoke he looked at her "Well she's right he-" He looked the other way "She was just-" The baby was nowhere in sight. "Aw man, not again…"

They searched high and low, every corner, every closet, under the bed, but still no sign of her. Just as they were about to get worried Finn heard a small sneeze 'Achoo' and looked around slowly. "She's in this room" He quietly told Flame princess.

They walked around, careful not to make too much noise when a spark of flame caught Finn's eye behind the sofa. "Aha!" He lunged for it immediately.

"Finn wait!" Flame princess warned.

He got there and reached for what he thought was his daughter but instead felt pain and pulled his arm back. A figure that had the shape of her daughter quickly dissipated upon touch.

"She just learned that." Flame princess came over to him and took his hand.

He looked at her in awe "So she can make copies or somethin' now!? That girl learns new stuff everyday" He stood up and stared at another spot in the room; The same brightness. How can he be sure of which one's the real deal?

Then, he had an idea. "FP, can you get me one of your gems? You know the really sparkly ones?"

"Okay umm, sure" Flame princess hesitated a bit but went to get them anyways. She came back shortly after. "Will these do?" She handed him a few golden ones and a green one. They shone as she held them.

"Yes those are perfect" He took them and laid them on the floor in the middle of the room. "Follow my lead" he told her. He put on his most worried face and spoke loudly "Oh, honey, your pretty gems have fallen on the floor!" He nudged her

"Oh, umm… Glob, do you mean the ones that shine different colors when you touch them!?"

"Yes, those very ones! I hope nobody grabs them…!" Suddenly he spotted blonde hair from in between the cushions.

The baby slowly came out until her father grabbed her "There you are you little rascal!" She laughed as he spun her around.

"Oh thank Gob" Flame princess came to where they were and curled her baby's hair softly "You have to stop doing that, we get so worried!" The baby grabbed her mother's cheeks with her tiny hands "haah-ahnd-go-peek" she said.

"Tell us before you start playing okay?" Finn gave her daughter a stern look

"Mhm" The baby smiled and kissed her daddy. Finn was such a softie when it came to these things "okay, okay… who wants lunch I guess?"

Flame princess and his daughter both exclaimed happily "But you're coming with me while daddy cooks this time" she took her and left the room.

Finn paused for a moment before leaving to look at them. 'My family… I wouldn't give them up for anything in the world.' And so he went.
