He shook, though none could see it, as he stared at his son talking with his grandson. He'd done everything for Baelfire, risked everything, turned his entire world upside down, brought that world to a new time and place. He touched his lame leg unconsciously. It'd taken far more courage to face the world as a cripple than it would've to have left Bael fatherless. He'd done it all to give his boy the father he deserved, but it seemed to Rumpelstiltskin that that was his greatest mistake for his son no longer wanted him. He turned away in tears.
