OCD
Obsessive-compulsive disorder is characterized by unreasonable thoughts and fears (obsessions) that lead you to do repetitive behaviors (compulsions).
Before eating, after eating, after waking up, before sleeping
The dirtiness wouldn't go away
The urges wouldn't go away

He could feel his hands
As if they were separate from his body
A billion bugs in frenzy
He swore he could feel the tingle
His hands would start sweating
He imagined chopping his hands off
Just his hands
No more dirtiness
He would try to ignore the urge to wash his hands
But the urge would just get stronger
And his anxiety would just get worse
He would lie in bed agonizing over his hands
Trying to ignore it
Until he finally gave in
And got up to wash his hands

When they showed Kakashi dealing with the fact that he killed Rin, I related to the way he dealt with things. They showed him washing his hands repeatedly, as if trying to wash away the blood (that obviously wasn't there), so it gave me the headcanon that Kakashi had OCD. Most people think OCD is just a discomfort with germs or untidyness, but it's not. Hopefully, this gives you a better picture. This is for anyone dealing with OCD. You're not alone.
