Disclaimer: I do not own Twilight. S.M owns it! This is a continuation of the Twilight Saga, by me. I wrote this back in the eighth grade, but I recently decided to post this on FanFiction. Hope you enjoy!

Preface

Childhood is a place where all your fantasies and fears come to life. It is a time where many learn who they're going to be when they grow up and it's a time when lessons are learned. Childhood is a time many don't want to let go of, it is a time that should be savored.

"There is a garden in every childhood, an enchanted place where colors are brighter, the air softer, and the morning more fragrant than ever again."

~Elizabeth Lawrence

Where has the time gone?

(Bella's POV)

"Ness, come on baby! It's your first day! Don't want to be late!" I called out to my daughter, Renesmee, as I walked towards her room.

It's been almost two years since the Volturi came and we've been living in Forks happily since then. It's also been two years since I married Edward and three since we've met, and I couldn't be happier. Our story seemed like it ended when we proved to the Volturi that Renesmee was not an immortal child, but it was only the beginning to our forever.

Edward, Renesmee, and I still live in the small cottage Esme renovated for us while the rest of our family still lives in the mansion a few miles from here.

Our family did consider moving after my change, but ever since Renesmee was born we decided to stay in Forks for a little longer. Edward and I wanted our daughter to grow up in Forks. We wanted Renesmee to be close to her grandpa, Charlie, since she's probably going to be his only grandchild, but then there is also Jacob.

Jacob is Renesmee's imprint and my best friend. Edward and I didn't want to separate the two since he's Renesmee's only friend. I'm still apprehensive about the whole imprinting thing, but thankfully, for now, Jake's only her protector.

I walked into Renesmee's lavender room to see her trying to fix her messy bed hair. She is so excited to finally be going to a school. She never gets to socialize with many kids because of her extreme growth rate.

Today is the first day Renesmee will be going to school, ever. Her growth rate has slowed down enough that we can enroll her into a normal elementary school. I really want her to have every possible childhood experience that every normal child has, considering our family is far from normal.

"Look at me, Momma! I did it by myself," Renesmee said proudly as she turned around to face me. Her hair was smoothly brushed out and she had the biggest grin on her face, making me crack a smile.

"I see angel, you look wonderful," I said, kissing her hair; which was still those bronze beautiful curls.

Renesmee could probably pass off for a seven or eight year old, so that's why we're going to be enrolling her in the third grade.

We aren't going to be too worried about her going to school alone since we believe she's mature enough to be going to an elementary school instead of being home schooled by Edward. Renesmee also has very good self control over her blood lust now, so she should have no problem if a little kid hurts themselves on the playground. Plus, Renesmee has a cell phone that Edward got her, just in case anything happened.

Speaking of Edward, my husband is such an over protective father. He wouldn't let her go at first because he was scared of all the littlest things, then again Jacob is the same.

I'm protective of her as well, it's just Edward and Jacob take it to a next level. I'm anticipating to see how they react during her teenager years, something I was dreading as well, but somehow I feel like their's will be more entertaining.

"Momma? You, Jakey, and Daddy are coming...Right?" she asked me, batting her eyes. I couldn't help but chuckle at my little girl.

"Yes, baby. Jake is coming right now and Daddy is all ready," I replied. She smiled as she then grabbed my hand and we went headed to the living room where Edward was playing on his piano. He was currently playing the tune of Clair de lune.

"Daddy! I'm ready! I'm going to school!" Renesmee squealed as she let go of my hand and ran towards Edward.

Edward grinned when he saw his little girl run across the room to him. He opened up his arms for her so she could jump onto his lap.

"I can see that angel." He chuckled as he went to kiss her cheek. "Why don't we head out before you're late."

"Wait! Where's Jakey? It's not the whole family without him!" Renesmee cried out, her face forming into a pout. She had her arms crossed over her chest and her bottom lip was hanging out.

"Don't worry baby, he'll be over soon," I told her, brushing her hair gently.

As if on cue Jacob knocked on the door. "Hey! I'm here!"

"Living room!" I called out as he entered our cottage.

Jacob appeared in a sweatshirt and a pair of cargo shorts. He had a smile on his face when he saw us all sitting around in the living room. His smile grew even bigger when he spotted Renesmee on Edward's lap.

"Jakey! I am so excited! I'm going to school!" Renesmee squealed. She ran off of Edward's lap and launched herself at Jacob, wrapping her little arms around his legs.

"I can see that, Ness." Jake chuckled, leaning down to give her a kiss on the top of her head.

"So let's go then!" She said in a demanding tone. We all laughed as Renesmee dragged Jacob outside towards the car. Edward and I followed, holding hands as we walked towards his silver Volvo.

Renesmee climbed into the back seat with Jacob while I joined Edward up in the passenger seat as we then drove to Forks's elementary school.

"Here we are baby," I said as we pulled up to the small school. It wasn't as big as the elementary school my mom use to work in, or mine for that manner, but it was cute. It was a small red brick building that was only one story. It was located near the forest and not to far from the high school Edward and I use to go to. I could tell there was a large playground in the back and a baseball field.

Renesmee squealed as she grabbed the new bag Alice got her, and threw it onto her back. It was shaped like a dog, one of Renesmee's favorite animals besides mountain lions.

Renesmee took my hand as we went to the main office. Inside the school was brightly colored, covered with colorful drawings and posters. Kind of like how I remember elementary school.

"Hello, my niece is here to start her first day," I said to the old lady at the front desk.

We are pretending Renesmee is my niece with Edward until we're out of Forks since some of the residents might still recognize us. When we do leave Forks, we're going to make the story different. Most likely Renesmee is going to be either my or Edward's little sister.

"Okay let's see...name?" the lady asked, looking up at me with kind eyes. She looked like one of those sweet old ladies in the movies. She had a short silvery blonde hair and brown eyes.

"Renesmee Cullen," I told her.

"Ah here, Renesmee Cullen. You have Miss Derek. Oh, she's such a nice teacher. You're very lucky to have her." The lady smiled, looking at Renesmee. She gave the receptionist a timid smile back, but I could tell she just wanted to go to her classroom very badly.

"Okay, thank you," I said to her. "Have a nice day!"

"No problem! You too dear. Have fun Renesmee!" the lady said to us. We then walked up the halls to Renesmee's classroom in the third grade wing.

"Here we are," Jacob announced. Him and Edward stood behind me while Renesmee is in front of the door ready to go to her class.

"Momma, can you come in with me?" she asked looking up at me. I could tell she was a little nervous now.

"Sure baby," I said as I go to brush her curls in a gentle manner. She smiled as then turned to her guys.

"Bye Daddy, see you later. Love you," Renesmee said, hugging onto Edward.

"I love you too," he said, giving her one last kiss on the top of her head before she made her way over to Jacob.

"See you later, Jakey. When we get back can we resume on our game of hide n seek?" she asked him. He chuckled as he went to give her a kiss on the top of the head.

"Sure, Ness." He told her. She gave him one more hug before taking my hand. From there I headed into the classroom with my daughter, hand in hand. I could tell she was excited, but nervous at the same time.

"Hello, you must be Renesmee," the teacher said coming over to us. She looked young, probably in her twenties. She seemed sweet, so I was relieved Renesmee didn't have a strict mean teacher.

"Hi," Renesmee said timidly, shyly waving at the teacher. This is where I could see myself in her, my shyness. She's always had that trait from me.

"Hi, I'm Renesmee's Aunt Bella," I introduced myself as I went to shake the teacher's outstretched hand.

"Nice to meet you, I will assure you Renesmee will have a good time here and she'll be safe," she told me and I nodded.

"Thank you," I said. I go to kneel down to Renesmee's level from there.

"Are you ready baby?" I asked her, rubbing her shoulders. She nodded at me.

"Yeah m- Aunt Bella. I'm all ready." She told me confidently.

"Good. Have a good time angel," I said, hugging her.

"Thank you, it will be over before you know it," Renesmee teased with me. We both giggled as I went to hug her tighter to me.

"I love you Momma," she said using her power as she gently touched my cheek. I smiled as I went to kiss her small hand.

"Love you Baby," I said as I go to kiss the top of her curls.

I then walked out of the room, but I peaked through the door to make sure she was alright. The teacher placed her with a group of kids and they seemed to welcome her with warm smiles.

"So it went well the teacher isn't like evil or anything?" Jacob questioned as I came over to the two guys. They were currently hanging around Edward's Volvo, waiting for me.

"No she's a third grade teacher. She should be far from evil. Don't worry she'll be fine," I said reassuring the guys.

"Maybe we should check with Alice-"

"We are going back to the house now and if something bad was to happen to Renesmee, Alice would tell us," I pointed out as I go to sit in the passenger seat of the Volvo.

"Fine." I heard both guys grumble causing me to chuckle as we drove to the Cullen home.
