Summary: Lily Evans is out playing with her friends! What's the reason?
Naughty Lily
"Lily!" I shouted. I wondered where she was. She usually didn't go out so late. I was 10 and told to look after Lily who was 9. Lily was always punctual about many things, but she was always nagging people about being late to things, even if it was only a minute late. Now she was the late one!
"LILY!" I screamed again. I heard the rustling of leaves and turned around. It was summer and the leaves were falling for some reason! It didn't make sense! Where is the logic in that? Didn't the leaves fall in autumn?
"Tuney!" Lily shouted happily as she ran towards me. Her red hair was flying around wildly; her emerald green eyes had happiness in them. I wondered where she went.
Lillian "Lily" Rose Evans- Gaunt, my younger sister, was not like me at all! She was adventurous, but still liked to read. She always played pranks on me and mess around with her friends. I've never seen her friends if I was being truthful. Apparently, they were all homeschooled. Honestly, I thought it was a bit weird, but they must have been rich. Lily always plays with everyone and can sing and dance beautifully. She's even amazing with younger and older kids, adults, senior citizens, animals, and is the sportiest girl I know!
I'm Petunia Faye Evans. I had dry dirty blonde hair with dark brown eyes. I'm not adventurous at all. I was calm and collected, but jealous easily, especially of Lily. She was the perfect child that everyone wanted and I was the quiet girl that was bland, tasteless. I was dull compared to Lily. The only thing about me was that I found out that I can do magic!
"Don't call me that!" I snapped at Lily. Honestly, she just didn't understand that I hated that nickname! She slowed her pace a bit, but kept jogging towards me.
"Sorry Petunia," she shyly told me. Her head was bent down and she shuffled her feet. I sighed; she made me look like the bad guy! She knew that I didn't like the nickname, I told her countless times!
"Let's just get home," I told her. Lily looked shock; apparently, she didn't notice how late she was away for. Mother and father had sent me to get Lily from wherever she was. Luckily, she was in the park with some other people. We walked back to the Evans house, silently.
When we got into the house, I immediately went to my room. Lily ate at her friend's house and I ate with mother and father. Lily stayed down with both of them. I looked through all the TV shows and found nothing interesting. I had twenty books and ten movies, but I already seen them all. After three years have having the same movie and book collection, I was getting bored with it all. It didn't help that I spent most of my allowance on make- up though… I just wanted to be pretty like Lily was!
Lily had hundreds of books! She had only two or three movies. Lily loved reading and books tended to be less expensive than movies. I wondered where Darius Marvolo Evans- Gaunt, my older brother, was. He was a year older than me at the age of 11 years- old. He was just like Lily, adventurous, people person, prankster, and beautiful looking!
Now that I think about it, it's kind of weird that the three of us are related, but we all have different hair color. Lily got mum's hair color, I got dad's, but mum told us that Darius got his black hair from her parents. Apparently, my mother was the odd ball with red hair instead of black hair. I believed her, but now… I'm not too sure.
Being completely bored, I snuck downstairs to listen to Lily's conversation.
"- and we played baseball! I never knew they could play it! My team won though!" Lily smiled happily. I was assuming she was talking about her friends.
"What were the teams?" Mum asked. Mum looked exactly like Lily. Darius also got mum's eyes, emerald green.
"Dorcas Meadows, Marlene McKinnon, Jack Wood, James Potter, Remus Lupin, Alice Prewitt, Frank Longbottom, Adrian Greengrass, and I were on the same team. Sirius Black, Alice Dawna, Amanda Morning, Andromeda Black, Narcissia Black, Bellatrix Black, Darius, Antras Donner- Black, and Nolan Gaunt were on the other team. Everyone else was just watching from the stands. It was amazing! We played nine innings with the score 14- 13! It was such a close game, but I got us a homerun! The bases were even full; we won after we were losing by three." Lily smiled happily at them. Mum nodded happily though her eyes held something in them, maybe a happy memory? Dad didn't look happy though.
"You should have known the time though," he told her. Lily was red in the face and stomped up to her room. "Where are you going? We still have to talk about where Darius is!" Father shouted at Lily, but she kept on walking upstairs.
"You shouldn't have done that," I told her as she passed me. She looked shocked that I was there.
"What?" She asked, oblivious that I had been listening.
"You should have listened to dad and stopped. Where is Darius anyways?" I asked the last question as an afterthought.
"I don't like him for some reason," Lily shrugged her shoulders. I understood. Lily never was really comfortable with dad for some reason. "Darius is at the Potter Manor along with everyone else."
"Why didn't you go with Darius?" I asked.
"I wanted to be home. Darius already told mum by the way. I guess she never got around to telling him." Lily shrugged.
There was something odd about Lily. She never called him father or dad, just him. I wondered if there was something that Lily wasn't telling me about. I shrugged it off, for now.
