Rejection
AN- This is my first fanfiction so go easy on me :) Please leave reviews to let me know what you think or any confusions or question. This takes place before Jacob phases but after Edward leaves Bella. Enjoy!

Bella POV
I woke with a start as always. Charlie used to come in to my room every night but, nowadays he ignores my screams, my wails, my cries for the one I love so dearly. Why? Why did he have to leave me? I need to stop.
I opened my eyes to see what time it was only find it was midnight. Sleeping was not something I was getting A's in at the moment so I swung my feet out of bed and pulled on some boots and a jacket. I left a note for Charlie telling him as was going for a walk and left the house silently. Sometimes I left for a while like this. No, I did this every night. I go back to the place he left me.
This is the only way I could know he was real. Feeling the pain sear into my chest as retrace my steps that I took the last time we spoke. The pain tells me it was real. That I didn't imagine it all.
As I got closer and closer, my sobs broke through my chest. Killing me slowly. Suddenly I fell to the ground and whimpered into the dirt. I hadn't the strength to move but I couldn't sleep. I was staring at the ground until my vision was blurred and snapped out of this.
Jake he was the reason I didn't respond to the overwhelming urge to end my pain. Before I knew I was home again and was ripping apart the note I had left for Charlie. Not once had he ever caught me on my moonlit walks but I needed to be responsible.
Checking my clock again, I find that it was time to get ready. School had never been a pleasant experience but ever since it happened it was unbearable. I played the part and just managed to pass with grades but I let my friendships fall apart.
I had just finished brushing my hair when my phone rang. Odd. "Hey Jake." I say and the ghost of a once constant smile appears across my face. "Bells, what's up!" Jake's grin was almost audible. "Nothing. I'm about to leave for school and yes before you boast I know you've already finished for summer!" I say as I look out the window to see Charlie had already left.
"Actually Bells I was going to say how 'bout we have dinner tonight?" I paused before responding , '" Sure, I'd love to go out as friends Jake." I say hoping he didn't have his hopes up. "Of course. Be ready for 6 Bella. Bye!" He hung up just as a had arrived at school.
