Anyone remember Ruri Motomiya? Well this is Taichi x her/Taichi x OC. If you dislike that, dont read. The key differences are:
1) Both Dorumon and Ryuudamon are her partners (as she was a weak child so it felt that she needed them)
2) Ruri had a sickness when she was a kid that was even worse than Hikari's (and my explanation why she hasn't joined until Daisuke did in 02 despite having had her partners longer than he had V-mon) as such, her digivice is the same as the 01's kids' (minus Takeru and Hikari's) and her crest is the one of Life (which I find ironic considering that she was never really healthy in her entire life yet continues to fight it...)
3) The Alphamon in Tri (in this AU at least) is Ruri's partner, just seemingly under the influence of something - or someone.

"Taichi!"
The wild-haired teen turned around hearing her voice shout his name and, indeed, it was Ruri Motomiya - one of his friends, his junior and, recently, his girlfriend too. She seemed to be a bit dizzy and shaky, which worried him at once. If that horrible sickness that Daisuke told him about returned now... it could take her life this time around and that was something no one wanted... "Stay back!"
"But, Greymon is in trouble!" Ruri gasped out as the dinosaur was thrown onto the ground by Kuwagamon, who was acting strangely even for his usual self. "Ryuudamon can..."
"No, it's fine." he retored, grasping her hands gently. They felt so awfully cold causing him to a feel chill down his spine. Winter was coming and she was dressed warmly so way... "Just stay there and let me to do this."
"Taichi..."
"Please." he looked deeply into her eyes. "I know that you are a Chosen Child now too but... please, I don't want you to get hurt for my sake." he frowned when Greymon was thrown again, attempting to fight back. "Better yet, leave so that you won't get hurt..."
"Ruri, he is right." Ryuudamon spoke. "We should stay back or even go away... you are recovering from that fever and we don't want that illness to make a return so..." the lizard-like dragon looked up worriedly at his partner as the girl sighed but nodded. "Thank you." he smiled up at Taichi who grinned back before turning to focus on cheering his partner on.
"They will be fine." Ruri spoke to herself softly, clutching on the digivice that was in her pocket. "I know they will be... so why do I have this horrible feeling?"
"You should sit down..." Ryuudamon led her a bit further where she could sit but still watch the battle. He seemed to have not heard her and the teen decided not to mention it again unless she had to. But she couldn't help but think 'famous last words...'
