She sits in her room, a white cage, working diligently at her drawings. She was alone, besides the occasional Riku or DiZ stopping by to check her progress. Other than that, no one kept her company as she worked, colored pencil in hand, trying as quickly and accurately as she could to restore Sora's memories.
Naminé felt as if it the only thing she could do to repay Sora for what she did. Restoring the memories she rearranged and broke apart. Even though she was forced by Marluxia and Larxene, and Sora put all the blame on them, the blonde couldn't help but blame herself and only herself for what she had done.
Sora… The only boy that showed he actually cared for her. The only one that smiled for her. Not because she replaced Kairi in his memories, but because he actually iliked/i her.
She smiled, brushing the eraser crumbs off the parchment. Another memory down, several more still to go. His memories of her were being stripped and changed back to their original state. She no longer existed to him. When he wakes up, he wouldn't recognize her. No matter how hard he would try, if he even felt the need to, she wouldn't appear in his mind. And there was no changing that.
Lost… but not forgotten. At least not to her. The memories of Sora trying with all his might to save her would still remain in her mind. No matter what, even if she becomes whole with Kairi, she'll still remember what Sora did.
The Nobody closed her sketch book and put it away, smiling sadly. She felt a pain in her chest where her heart should be, but shook off the feeling. She can't feel depressed on how this turned out. She knew he would choose his old memories anyway. There was no way she'd let herself get upset about it. She had to keep their promise, even if it meant she would be alone forever.
Taking out a pencil, she wrote on the desk:
Even if I'm lonely, I'll keep my promise.
Even if I'm lonely…
Even if…
A tear drop fell.
