Lost and Found

Disclaimer: I do not own Doctor Who. Don't sue me, I'm highly allergic to courthouses. Also, I suck at knowing when to end a paragraph properly, so just, power through it.

The events of that faithful day raced through her mind as she stared at the blank wall that was before her.

"Rose, hold on!" The words echoed through her head, slowly tormenting her. But she quickly shook her head of the memory. She was going back. She would find him, even if it took the rest of her life.

Rose looked at the small group behind her. Jackie, Pete, and Mickey. Working at Torchwood, and with Mickey's technology help, they'd managed to create the technology to break through the Void, right into the other universe. The Doctor's universe. As she said her tearful goodbyes, she grabbed the gun-like device, shooting it at the wall, and stepping through.

It pained her, it felt like she was being ripped through the Time Vortex itself. Maybe she was, she had no way of telling. Her eyes were shut tight, the immense pain almost too much for her to bear. But after what seemed like eons, it suddenly stopped.

What she saw was the TARDIS, it's doors shut. She cautiously walked over, looking around to see if she could spot the Doctor. Upon getting closer, she saw new wear on the blue box, realizing it must've been years ago the last time she saw it. She rubbed her hand over the door, smiling softly, before rummaging around in her pocket for the key.

She finally found the object, and with shaky hands, she pushed the key into the lock, turning it, and hearing a click, before pushing the door open quietly.

There he was.

He was sitting in the jump chair, staring off into space, in deep thought. She examined him. He wore a blue suit with red pinstripes, still with the same old converse. His hair was gravity defying, as usual, but the most noticeable of all was how much he had seemed to age. He'd told her Timelords aged much slower than humans, but the stress and agony he felt was clear on his face.

Taking a deep breathe, she slowly walked in, and with a grin, whispered in his ear,

"Allons-y"
