I thought that I would write a quick one chapter story about the scene in the 6th Harry Potter movie that happens after Ron gets poisoned and is eating in the Great Hall with Harry and Hermione and asks them how he broke up with Lavender.
Ron looks over at Hermione as they sit at their house table in the Great Hall and says, "Tell me again how I broke up with Lavender?"
Hermione looks over at Harry who is sitting across the table from them and then turns her gaze back to Ron.
"Well she came to see you in the hospital and you talked in your sleep," Hermione says, "I don't believe it was a rather long conversation."
Ron nods his head, "Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled to free of her, but she just seems a bit put out."
Harry turns around and Ron and Hermione lean to either side to see around Harry. They see Lavender watching them with a utensil griped tightly in her and and digging it into the table.
"She does doesn't she," says Hermione.
They settle back into their seats and after a couple moments Hermione turns to Ron and says, "So you say that you don't remember anything from that night? Nothing at all?"
Harry looks up at Hermione and then at Ron after hearing what Hermione just asked.
"Just tell her that you like her so very much, Ron" Harry's thoughts
"Well now that you mention it I do remember some of what I said while I was laying the bed," he says.
"Like what?" Hermione says with the hope that he remembers that he was saying her name over and over while she, Harry, Ginny, Lavender, and professors; Snape, Dumbldore, Slughorn, and McGonagall were all surrounding his bed.
"Well I remember hearing you and Ginny talking, you holding my hand. I was also thinking that I needed to break up with Lavender so that I could have the chance to tell you how I feel about you" Ron says.
Hermione's face changes into a look of hope and questioning as to what Ron will say next.
"What kind of feelings?" She asks.
Ron smiles and reaches for her hand before saying,"My feelings for you are that I have liked you for so many years and that those feelings have just recently turned into full blown love. From the way you were taking care of me I knew that I had fallen even deeper in love you than I have for the longest time. I keep hoping that you would feel the same way about me."
Hermione smiles. "Oh Ron, you have no idea how long I have been waiting to hear you say that to me. I love you to Ron and I always will."
Harry looks up at the celling and says,"Thank god they have finally come to their senses."
"I love you Hermione," Ron says.
They lean in and kiss for the first time and both see fireworks from the their kiss.
They pull away and lean against each other holding hands.
Harry looks at them and says, "I'm so happy for you two, but from here on out if you could keep the kissing to a minimum around me I would greatly appreciate it."
Hermione and Ron both smile and agree to Harry's condition.
