Ears are for Hearing
Jinx and Flash loved their family but they were having relationship trouble so, for the kids, they decided not to stay together.
Flash took the girl that had inherited his incredible speed and Jinx kept the boy that had horrible luck. The kids still see each other and Jinx and Flash are friends.
It was almost Christmas, Jinx along with Flash and the kids, as always, go to the Californian beaches for the Yule time.
'Kiara is doing great, she is very good at swimming'
'Oh… Hex is having troubles controlling his powers when he is mad, he made a old lady break her back once.'
'Did you ever look at his ears?'
'What?'
'Did you ever look at Hex's ears?'
'No, why?'
'They're pointed.'
Both turned to look at the kids. Kiara was running up and down the shore on the water and Hex was creating giant waves for the surfers. When Hex turned Jinx noticed it, underneath his bright pink hair was a pointed ear. Jinx self-consciously brought her hands to her own ears, hers were normal.
Jinx turned to Flash. He was looking at her, watching her reaction.
'He has pointed-ears, you have cat-like eyes.'
'But they're pointed.'
'Yet just like every other ear. Ears are made for hearing.'
She nodded and just sat in silence watching her two kids have the time of their lives.
