I made this one for the Fan-flasworks comunity at LJ. The challenge was "Elusive or Ephemeral".

Review and let me know your thoughts on it! (:

Mirror, Mirror

Yuuki didn't remember seeing that room before. A room of mirrors. There was no naked wall, not even the door. All around her was… herself. Countless reflexions of her with that recently cut hair and that beautiful dress she bought to the masquerade. There were also tears, a lot of them, staining her cheeks with a thin line of dry salty water.

Walking slowly, she got closer to one of the many mirrors, touching it lightly with her fingertips. In an even slower pace, she leaned her head into the cold surface, letting her whole body slide to the floor.

With so many hers in that room, how was she supposed to know which was the real one? There was no one else who could recognize her. Kaname had never really known her. Neither had her adoptive father. The only one who really had known her was him – Zero.

However, he would never recognize her again. She had erased all his memories of her, all of them. It made her want to die inside. Who was her now, really? Life seemed… pointless.

"No. I shall stop Kaname. Make him human. Make him happy at least for one life spam."

As her voice reached her ears, a bitter, nearly mad, chuckle escaped her throat.

"Mirror, mirror, mirror on the wall, tell me, who is the most miserable of them all?"

The mirrors had no answer for her, so she just got up and left her other selves to disappear into the darkness.
