Vicky was...was...happy? Excited? Nervous? Irritated? Elated? She had finally convinced the boy she REALLY liked to meet her at the train station to ride with her to her magical school. Not that should have been hard, him being her best friend and all, but still, what could be better? So she must be happy. But she was excited to see him...and nervous about how she should act on the train...and then again, she was irritated that her silly cousins were attending Hogwarts this year...but elated at seeing him. Was it possible to feel all those emotions at the same time? Hmmm...
"Vicky!"
"Hi Teddy!"
"Merlin, Vicky, you've changed a lot this summer haven't you? I can't believe we haven't seen each other the entire time!"
"I think you must be looking in a mirror, Ted. You've grown at least five inches."
"Six actually, but what about you? You look like..." he paused for effect, "...a girl." He smiled mischievously.
"Oh, gee, thanks Ted. Just what every girl wants to hear." And she presently socked him in the arm.
"Ouch! Vicks, you gotta learn to take your anger out on people that aren't Teddy Lupin!"
"Aw, but you make such a good punchbag..." She smiled. "And besides, you' not exactly useful for anything else." She began to walk to the station and heard him running to catch up.
"I beg to differ. I am very much in demand...ACTUALLY." Now it was Teddy's turn to walk off knowingly and Victoire's turn to run to catch up.
"What? You're NEVER in demand...what's going on?" She asked confused.
"Maybe I might have a date for Hogsmeade..." He trailed off teasingly. Victoire stopped walking. Teddy looked back and saw her poorly hid look of dismay. "Something wrong Vicky? Thought you'd be teasing my butt of by now..."
"Nothing!" She said hurriedly. "Nothing wrong at all. Only that if it's that complete COW Nancy Hart-"
"Why do you care so much if I date Nancy Hart?"
"Have you SEEN her? She practically worships you. You're all she ever talks about...it's gross."
"How is that gross?!" He asked with the most confused look on his face.
"It just IS! I don't want to have to listen to girls going on and on about how hot you are-"
"You seem to pay rather a lot of attention to these mindless conversations."
"Do NOT!"
"Yeah, you do. I wonder why...oh. Wait. You LIKE me, don't you?"
"NO!" Victoire shouted, her face rapidly turning a rather unattractive shade of red. She was practically the same colour as her hair.
"But you do!" Teddy looked victorious. "It explains so much, why you didn't like me going to Hogsmeade with Jenna Gentia, why you hate it so much when other girls talk about me, why you always blush when I compliment you..." He started grinning like a devil.
"Uh, I so do NOT like you. You're gross, have very messy hair, you are far to arrogant for your own good, you don't make me blush, you make me PUKE, you are a thick-headed half-wit and you don't know what obnoxious means!" Victoire was going redder with each word.
"You liiiiike me!"
"I do NO-" Her speech was presently cut off by Teddy leaning down to kiss her full on the mouth. She leant up and kissed him back and she felt him smile. It was glorious, perfect, wonderf-
"VICTOIRE AND TEDDY! VICTOIRE AND TEDDY!" James Sirius Potter, her annoying little cousin had appeared at the most inconvenient moment, and decided he would continue to shout this all the way back to his parents and the rest of the Hogwarts students.
"I am going to KILL that boy..."
