One day at Tarrytown Airport, Orland was looking for a lost spanner which Brenda Blue, Tarrytown's mechanic, had lost in the air plane hanger.
"No, not here either." He noted, and went to look in Herky's big hanger.
As he was looking for the spanner, he accidentally knocked over a small yellow box.
"What was that?" He wondered. He saw the yellow box.
Hm, what's in it?" He opened the box, and saw Herky's gum shield inside it.
"That's all that was!" He exclaimed in relief.
Though, he did wonder why Herky wore his gum shield. No one had told him about it.
...
Later, he asked Jay Jay and Snuffy about it.
"Well, he used to have a really bad snoring problem." Jay Jay explained.
"Yeah- and it's still ongoing!" Snuffy added. "Though it's not as bad now."
"So he got this gum shield fitted which prevents him from snoring." Jay Jay finished. "He has to wear it every night or else he ends up snoring again."
"Ah." Said Orland. "Does he like wearing it?"
"He's used to it." The younger jet answered. He does need it though, regardless of whether he likes it or not."
"I see." Orland said gravely.
That made sense.
Afterwards, he asked Jay Jay and Snuffy in his quest for the spanner.
Eventually, it was found in Brenda's workshop on the work bench by Jay Jay, hidden under am immense pile of papers.
