"So your telling me that "the" Lara Croft wants me on this expedition?" This office is starting to feel a little stuffy right now, or I am going to hyperventilate. "Yes Tagen for the third time, she believes that you would be a strong good candidate to come along. Even though your GPA is rather low." The Dean of the college snickered. I was used to his smart ass, he always has a problem with me because I slack in school and don't exactly abide by the rules.
"Well I never really ever believed that GPA signifies smarts." A young British voice came from behind me. Lara Croft has just entered this office, and I believe I may pass out. I never have met this girl but I know she barely had to be in college long before she surpassed everything and everyone in studies. "Well miss Croft, it's a pleasure." The Dean had to force a fake smile and a firm handshake. "Pardon my French sir but, holy shit its really you." I slowly stood up and shook Crofts hand and probably with a stupid grin on my face.
Croft laughed, "I'm not a celebrity, remember we had archery and rock climbing together here." I remembered but I didn't think I'd make that impression on her, I was way out of her friend league. "I really didn't think you'd remember, or I didn't think I left any type of impression." Croft chuckled again, "We'll finish that conversation at a later time, all your clothes and items have been put on the boat already. My eyes widened, "So what about my parents? What am I going to tell them? And a boat?" Croft waved bye to the Dean and pulled me out of the office to start walking.
"Your dad and my dad went way back, so they already know. Your father is at the boat to see you off." My mind was racing how the hell is this happening to me? Her dad and my dad? How did I not know any of this shit? My dad works for a big company. "Oh my god is my dads big company job a cover up?" I exclaimed grabbing Crofts arm swiftly. "Well no, that's true but he also went with my Father on adventures when he was still alive. Before they even had you."
We made our way across campus, people looking and waving hi to Lara. "Do you know all those people?" Croft shook her head, "I think they only wave hi is because two cute girls walking across campus and apparently I'm famous according to you." Wait did she just say I was cute? I didn't' t think so, but hell I'll take the compliment from Lara Croft. "Oh my bad, cuteness overload they can't handle it." Lara laughed and kept trudging forward to the sidewalk on the street, oh god. Then I saw it, a street bike. "No way, is this yours?" Lara grabbed the second helmet and threw it to me. "You better hang on."
