It was another day in the meerkat colony far beyond the Pridelands and near the border of the Outlands

While most of the colony continued to dig tunnels for fear of the hyenas or other predators lurking nearby, the bravest of meerkat stood atop rocks surrounding the colony. The sentry's who's job it was to alert the other of any incoming threats

One of these meerkat was a young male with red fur atop his head. And yet while he knew his duties as sentry were of the upmost importance, his mind was clouded with thoughts of great excitement and worry

"Any day now," the meerkat thought as he tried to maintain his rhythm of scurrying, sniffing, and flinching "Gosh, she's already so big. Twins perhaps? Triplets!? Gosh I hope my brother Max is checking in on her. Wait, did I remind him to? Gosh he..."

As the meerkat continued to ponder the many worries and excitement that came with becoming a new father, they also distracted him from the hyena that had now crept it's way to his rock

Meanwhile, his brother Max had popped out of a hole, it was time!

"Oh my gosh!" Max cried "Better scurry like I've never scurried before!"

"Wonder what we should name the little scamp when he's out?" the meerkat said now thinking aloud. She really has her heart set on Timon, or Tammy if it's a girl. Goofy names if you ask me,"

"What about goreme?" a female voice called out behind the meerkat

"Goreme?" The meerkat said turning around "Now why would I..?"

The meerkat then saw who he was with. The large female hyena with bangs loomed over him. A towering titan of a beast to one so tiny.

Meanwhile, Max has gotten near his brothers rock. Only to now see the terror that was about to befall him

"S-S-Sh-Shen..!" The meerkat stuttered in fear

"It's Shenzi Marie Predatora Veldetta Jacquelina Hyena," Shenzi said "And allow me to also introduce you to...MY BELLY!"

The little meerkat was to frozen in fear to flee as the giant hyena's jaws opened up and engulfed her new treat.

Max could only watch on as Shenzi toyed with him a little. Using her tongue to trap him on the roof of her mouth. Only to then drop him back onto her squishy, drool covered body part. The meerkat thought this to be an opening and desperately tried to jump out her mouth. Only for Shenzi to tilt her head back and further tounge wrestle her food.

While she played, Max had ran back to the colony to warn the others

The sounds of scrambling meerkat soon caught Shenzi's attention, thus with one mighty "Gulp!" The meerkat father to be, Max's brother was now trapped with Shenzi's gut

Yet his suffering wasn't over yet as his new prision began to bounce and toss him around. Outside, Shenzi was trying to get seconds for her recent meal

As the little meerkat tried to stable himself with the hyena, he worried all the more who may soon join him in this horrid hyena.

"Please, at least don't let it be Max of my mate," he begged.

Thankfully, no one else came in. The rest of his colony had all safely fled underground. Thanks to Max

"Yeah! You better run and hide!" Shenzi said disappointed she had only got a single morsel, then left

Within her, the meerkat could only weep, for he'd never get to see what kind of meerkat his new baby would grow up to be now.
