It had been seven years since Emily had left from London and many things have changed. Emily got married to my baby boy, and I finally have the grand babies I had been waiting for. Matthew Spencer is four , and Penelope Jennifer is two and a half.
Matthew Spencer is a firecracker. He likes to get in to trouble at any opportunity. It's near impossible to resist his puppy dog face , as only Emily can. Matthew likes to speak his mind , his favorite word is no , and he's as stubborn as both of his parents combined and that's a lot. Sometimes he's very sweet , and he always wants a bear hug. I know he's gonna be a charmer with his daddy's smile , and his mother's dark doe eyes.
Penelope Jennifer is a complete sweetheart , and a total Daddy's girl. She has almost all of Emily's looks , which really helps her when she wants something from daddy, but the only one she lets read her a bedtime story is her mom. She follows Matthew around everywhere , her dark hair in braids behind her. Luckily Matthew doesn't seem to care about Penelope following him around too much.
It was about time for Derek to make a move when he finally did. He would never shut up about Emily when we talked, and it went on like that for eight years. I could tell all along that they both liked each other, but Derek didn't believe me. He could have saved eight years , but Derek's never really listened to the phrase "Mother knows best.". I'm thankful Emily moved to London , because it made Derek admit he loved her. Now if only I could get the man Desiree likes to move.
