Quinn's POV

As Santana and Rachel got into the elevator behind me, I pressed the ground floor button. The doors closed and and we began to move downward. I looked at Rachel. She was smiling and talking to Santana about God knows what. I wasn't listening. All I could pay attention to was her beautiful smile placed on her perfect face.

I opened my mouth to say something, when all of a sudden the elevator lurched and all three of us wobbled.

"Damn, it. The elevator must be out of order," I said.

"Oh, really, I thought this was a normal thing that happened." said Santana.
Rachel half rolled her eyes with that.

"Hang on, let me call my super, I'm sure he could fix it." I said, getting out my phone.

"Hey, um, it's Quinn from apartment 18F. Me and my friends are stuck in the elevator, it just stopped." I said to him. I started to lean on the wall of the elevator until I slid down into a sitting position on the floor. Santana and Rachel did the same.

"Well, he's working on it. should be fixed in fifteen minutes or less." I said.
Rachel sighed and smiled at me. I decided to scoot over to her and was relieved that she did not look at me strangely or scoot away. Instead she just smiled.

A strand of my hair fell out from behind my ear. I waited a moment and looked at Rachel. She bit her lip slightly, and hesitantly reached her hand up to the side of my face. She carefully put the strand behind my ear.

" Think you could blush harder, Q?" Santana said.

I looked down smiling and Rachel said bashfully, "Shut up, Santana"
I took the opportunity to take my hand off the ground and lightly place my hand on Rachel's lower thigh. She, in return said, "That feels good," and she placed her arm around my shoulder and stroked my hair, which again fell out from behind my ear.

She giggled slightly and put it back again. she came in really close and slowly whispered in my ear, "You should invest in a headband." I smiled, thinking about her terrible song from when we were in glee club.

"I really should..." I said. I was leaning in for a kiss very slowly. Rachel looked me in my eyes and I kissed her. It was the first time I had ever kissed a girl. It was soft and slow. And it was Rachel. I knew that it would be perfect, and it was.

After a blissful moment, Santana being Santana said, "Wanky," with a tiny giggle.

Rachel and I parted after that and we smiled awkwardly. Just then, the doors opened on the ground floor. My super must have fixed it. Santana got up, followed my me and Rachel. I looked at her and she held out her hand for me to take it, which I did. I had never been happier. Who knew an elevator breaking could be such a blessing?
