How had I let this happen. They had captured me and my family and I was powerless to stop it. All this just because I had touched his hand.
My chin was lifted up and I saw his face. The face of the man about to kill my family all because of what I know. You and your family will be together again. I know but that doesn't make it any less painful to see.
"I'm sure you have lots you want to say to your family. You have five minutes. Say your goodbyes then welcome death." Aro said while he looked around the chamber at my family and I in disgust then he left. As soon as he left the room my wife was sobbing uncontrollably and fell limply, though only thing holding her up were the chain by which we all were bound. It set off a chain reaction and one by one my children were filled with fear. My youngest daughter only 17 years old let out a muffles cry trying to hold it in and my second oldest daughter held hers in but I could see her cheeks were soaked in tears her twin brother, my oldest son the best at holding in his emotions. Much like me in that respect.
"We will be ok. We will be together again. I promise you." I told my family unafraid. My children looked up at me chained to the wall opposite me and my wife next to me turned her head to look at my and listen to what I was telling them. "They will kill us but by doing so they set in motion forces beyond their control. You all will be reborn stronger and I promise." I looked every member of my family in the eyes. " I promise you all, I will find you. We will be a family again."
They looked reassured and, as Aro said, ready to face death then my wife spoke. "What about you. We will be reborn what will happen to you?"
I smiled lovingly at her "My wife. My love. Still as perceptive as when we first met." I sighed. The next part they aren't going to like. " They are going to kill me l will have to separate my mind from my body. My body will die but it will be reborn when the four of you will are all alive in the same time period and my mind will awaken." They were silent. Trying to process this. They will live lives in random pockets of time and they will forget this. They will forget all their previous lives until I find them and then they will remember this, our family, the only ones of our kind.
Aro, Caius, Marcus and two other vampires came in to the room and each of them stood in front of each member of my family. Aro stood in front of me. The last thing I saw were them ripping the heads off my family. Rage consumed me but that was my body acting on instinct. I didn't have time for that. I closed my eyes and took my last breath in this body just as I felt Aro wrap his hands around my face I separated my mind. My last though of my family, my love, my mate.
