POWER

Hunter Helmsley tried to look sincere as he faced Vince McMahon. "Vince, the board has asked me to come here and to tell you that they have filed an injunction against you with a vote of no confidence. And Vince, the family agrees. On top of that, Vince, the board has chosen someone to take over the day to day operations of the WWE." He paused, letting the reaction of the crowd wash over him. "And, um, Vince, I can't even believe I'm going to say this, but Vince, it's me." Another big reaction from the crowd. Hunter secretly relished the look on Vince's face as he continued: "Vince, you're not gonna fire John Cena…you're not gonna be doing anything else!" He went on, talking about business, and then finished with the kicker: "Vince, I am here to inform you that you are officially relieved of your duties."

He inwardly smiled as the crowd chanted "Hey, Hey, and Goodbye." Now it was time to turn on the waterworks. "I love you, pop-and I'm sorry."

That has been the easy part. Since then, he'd had to deal with CM Punk, and now his best friend, Kevin Nash. "What're you gonna do about it?" Nash had asked. So, he'd shown him. And, like that, Nash was gone.

So, now here he was at Clash of Champions. He had promised to resign as COO if CM Punk won. That hadn't happened, and now CM Punk, like everybody else, would know who was really in charge: Hunter Helmsley, Triple H, The King of Kings, the Cerebral Assassin-and absolute master of the WWE Universe.

Vince McMahon thought he knew what power was all about. Well, now it was his turn.

And Triple H would make sure that power was felt by everyone.
