'No more
No more are the days that I will
Fear for I have found a strength that
None can match and I'll push forward
Never has the blood in my veins
Flowed so fiercely as when I feel this around me
I am whole'
Chi-chi was making him go to high school. He hated it. Everything about school. It was so pointless! Just look at his brother, Gohan, he was such a nerd because of her! He didn't want that at all. He would rather be fighting, training with his dad. Anything was better than school.
Still grumbling, he got out of bed and tugged on clean dark blue jeans. Rifling through his drawers, he found a bright orange shirt to wear. He walked out of his room as he tugged it on, his hair springing back up. It was a mess, as always, and no amount of hair gel could get it to do anything else. He grabbed his backpack and breakfast from the counter, eating as he left, going to meet Trunks who was also going to high school.
Trunks looked very annoyed, dressed in black jeans and a blue plaid button up. He was fucking sexy.
Goten just grinned at him and said, "Well, don't you look just fucking fantastic!"
Trunks rolled his eyes but replied, "Of course! Going to school. Nothing better to do. Never."
They laughed then, finally beginning the dreaded walk to the school.
As it turned out, they had almost every class together. Often times, they would sit by one another, regardless of the teacher's precious "seating-chart".
They would joke and generally not do much other than anxiously wait for the bell to ring. Goten was glad he had Trunks with him, otherwise, he figured he would turn out as Gohan had, and probably die of boredum.
School turned out to be just as terrible as they'd both thought it would be, finally, winter break had come and the two had bribed their fathers into letting the two of them spend it alone, together, out in the wild.
It was great, no homework, no mother, just the two of them. They had snowball fights, actual fights, and just laid there next to a small fire, gazing up at the stars.
"You know Goten..., I've been meaning to tell you this for a while now...," Trunks began one night as they laid on opposite sides of the fire.
"Hm?" the black haired teen looked over at his friend.
"I... I like you. A lot. You..., you make it easier to take this day-to-day shit. You make me remember that amongst all these humans..., I'm not alone."
Goten laughed and extended his arm, above the sticks of the fire, to his friend.
The purple haired boy grapsed the extended hand, a smile on his face.
"I know Trunks. When I'm around you, I know I'm not alone. You make me feel complete."
"Exactly." Trunks replied with a grin.
Goten broke into a grin as well, their hands clasped tightly together.
'I'm not alone with the touch of your hand I am whole again
I'm not alone with the touch of your hand I am whole again
Now I feel the passion burning
This what drives me further
Strengthens my resolve to push me further'
