"Why did you have to die, Beth? Why?" Eddie Simmons lay on the floor, crying his eyes out. His sister Louisa walked over to him.

"Who's Beth?" she asked.

"Beth was the love of my life." he sobbed.

"Tell me about her." Louisa pushed. Eddie took a deep breath, and started.

"I only knew Beth for six months, but it felt like an eternity. I met her while she was walking by herself one day. She looked so fragile. Her legs gave way beneath her so I caught her. She looked up, surprised. I smiled, and so did she.

"Hi, I'm Eddie Simmons." I introduced myself.

"Beth March." She had an angel's voice. She was gorgeous as well, long brown hair and big blue eyes. Her pale skin seemed to sparkle. Her smile was alluring. I loved her since the moment I met her.

We talked for hours. It was so easy talking to her. I knew then, we were soulmates.

We shared our first kiss that afternoon. It was just a sweet peck on the cheek, innocent and rushed, but it was still a kiss.

We met secretly over the next 6 months. We stole kisses whenever we could. Our relationship wasn't easy, with Beth's illness, but it was real and it was worth it."

"She sounds special." Louisa remarked.

"She was." Eddie answered. He walked outside and looked at the night sky.

"Goodbye, Beth. I'll never forget you."
