This story takes place a year after the Turborangers graduated from High School. Yohei and Haruna are already a couple in this story.
Jacket
10 AM.
Haruna is at her house cleaning her bedroom when her cell phone rang. Seeing that it was her boyfriend, Yohei, she immediately picked it up.
"Hey Yohei!" Haruna answered her phone. "What's the matter?"
"Hi Haruna! Would you like to go to the movies with me tonight?" Yohei asked her.
"Sure! I'll meet you at the theater at 5 pm." Haruna replied.
5 PM.
"So, which movie would you want to see?" Yohei asked.
"I was thinking of watching the latest chick flick, but I'm sure you would not want that." Haruna said smiling.
"No, it's okay. I'll watch a chick flick with you. Last time we went out, we saw an action movie remember? So now it is your turn to pick." Yohei assured her.
"Really? Thank you Yohei!" Haruna smiled as she kissed Yohei in the cheek.
After buying their tickets….
"Yohei it is still an hour before the movie, would you like to go eat or something?" Haruna asked.
"Ok. Let's go" Yohei answered.
While searching the mall for a restaurant, Haruna spotted a cute jacket by the window of Topshop.
"Yohei wait! I'll just look at the jacket inside." Haruna said.
"Ok. I'll come with you then." Yohei replied.
Haruna asked the saleslady for the jacket by the window but she was surprised that it costs a lot. Sighing, she returned the jacket and said that she'll just come back for it.
"Why didn't you get the jacket?" Yohei asked Haruna.
"It is pretty expensive you know. I'll just go find another one." Haruna said sadly.
However, Haruna was not able to find another jacket because they had to be in the theater in an hour. She just had no time to shop tonight.
Inside the movie house…
"Here we go. These are our seats." Yohei said as he led Haruna to their seats.
It is still 15 minutes before the movie. But Haruna and Yohei went in early to see trailers of upcoming movies.
"Haruna, I'll just go get some popcorn ok?" Yohei told her.
"Ok." Haruna said.
The movie is about to start and Yohei still has not returned.
"Hmmm… I wonder what's taking Yohei so long." Haruna thought.
"I'm back." Yohei said, panting a bit. He looked like he had been running.
"What took you so long?" Haruna asked worriedly.
"Oh, the line was long. Here's your popcorn". Yohei said.
"Thank you". Haruna smiled at him.
"Haruna? Are you feeling cold?" Yohei asked.
"Not yet. Why?"
"Oh. It's nothing. Just tell when you feel cold okay?" Yohei said as he put an arm around Haruna.
20 minutes later…
"Ok Yohei. I'm feeling cold already. Can I borrow your jacket?" Haruna said shivering a little.
"Here, take this." Yohei said giving her another jacket.
"Yohei! Whose jacket is this? It looks small for you." Haruna asked.
"That's yours." Yohei said while smiling.
"Huh? I don't have a jack—Wait a minute!"… Haruna cut her sentence short when she realized that this was the jacket she wanted at Topshop earlier.
"Yohei…" Haruna does not know what to say.
"I bought it for you when I went outside to get some popcorn. I knew that you like that jacket so much. I don't care how much it costs. I just want to give it to you." Yohei said.
"Thank you Yohei. This is very sweet of you." Haruna said as she kissed Yohei on the cheeks.
"Hey! I can be a sweet boyfriend you know." Yohei said happily.
Haruna slipped on the jacket and continued watching the movie. Her hands are intertwined with Yohei's.
Throughout the movie, Haruna never felt cold. Sure, her jacket kept her warm on the outside. But more importantly, she had that warm and secure feeling from the inside. And it is all because of Yohei.
