Author's Note: I was suddenly inspired to write this after a memory of Galaxy Express 999, the Citizen Kane of anime movies, came back to me. This is the first time I've posted poetry here, so forgive me if it needs work. Anywho, enjoy!

On the Galaxy Express 999,
The cosmos pass by you like dandelion seeds
And provide such wonder to all of your senses.
This is where your life can truly begin
And where it can also end.
I was like you: eager, courageous, and laudable.
Believe me, my journey on this train changed me for the better;
I'm fairly certain you'll turn out that way too.
I wish I could come back to join you on this interstellar ride
But I'm afraid my days are done.
