(So... I'm not the best at Summaries, but here we go) The Guardian didn't want to be awakened from his slumber, but he was. Now, the world is calling for his aid, and he must step up, or perish with the rest of the Light. (It's rated "M" due to a high possibility of language and graphic violence in later chapters.)

Alrighty. This will be my very first FanFiction. I'm hoping to please my readers very much. And I thank you for reading at least this far. Also, I do not own Destiny, Bungie does. And also, along with that. I own none of the canon-NPCs that I may reference, or the DLCs that may arise. With that, enjoy reading.

The world was changed forever when the Darkness encroached on our progress. It crushed our dreams, our hopes, our lives… and plunged us into one of the hardest Ages known to humanity. Although it may seem like all was lost in the Great Collapse, the Traveller stayed resilient, protecting a singular city on Earth, The Last City. A new Guardian has arisen, and he'll need all the Light he can muster to repel the Darkness, this is his journey.)

"Guardian… Guardian, eyes up Guardian," chirped a small metallic voice.

Who in the hell woke me up…? I was so happy dozing like that, thought the freshly raised "Guardian"

"Ah, you're awake! Hello! Um, you've been dead for a really long time, so you're going to see a lot of things you won't understand, alright?" The small voice was coming from a floating object, with "spikes" coming from eight spots on its shell.

What is this thing yammering on about? The Guardian scratched his neck, and immediately felt something wrong.

He did not remember being made of metal.

"G-Guardian? The look under your helmet says you are very unhappy-" a roar cut the small machine off, causing him to snap facing that direction. "Alright, we need to leave, we're in Fallen territory. Therefore, not safe. We need to get inside that wall," the device motioned in that direction.

Okay, fine, coming- the Guardian face planted as he tried to take his first step, and realized it was like learning how to ride a bicycle after not using one for a while. With a short, dry chuckle, the Guardian was back on his feet, sprinting towards an open doorway in the wall.

The door snapped shut behind the Guardian, trapping him in a darkened hallway.
