He turned around at the sound of breaking glass. He just knew it was bhis/b favourite glass that had fallen and not that of his student. Life just worked that way.
P
He had been given that glass by his former apprentice, who was now a Knight in his own right. Maybe soon he wouls become a Master. A bit young granted, but he had always been bright.
P
He knew the Council wanted his old Padawan to take on a Padawan himself, but also knew Obi-Wan had no intention to do so. Obi-Wan had never liked the older groups of children. He was at his best with the initiates. They seemed to spot his inate sense of good and trusted him. Older children made him mad.

He never wanted a Naming Day present. He hadn't even told his young apprentice when it was. But Obi-Wan had always been curious and had found out. A week before his Naming Day they had been to the weekly market on one of the squares on Coruscant near the Temple. Obi-Wan grumpled most of the day. He hated those things, there were just too many people aroun. they disrupted his force-sense. And he wasn't that strong in the living force to begin with.
P
Qui-Gon had stopped in front of a small stall where glass items were sold. One was a tall and elegant drinking glass. It was blue green, depending on the lightfall, with some golden patterns on it. Obi-Wan stood behind his Master and just knew he had found the perfect Naming Day gift. His Master had been very surprised to be handed a package on his Naming Day, convinced his Padawan wouldn't know.
It was the glass. Obi-Wan had returned later that afternoon to get it.

So the glass was rather special to the Jedi Master. It symbolised the beginning of a powerful connection and even friendship. It was irreplacable. It itself was a bit of a replacement. But that didn't really work. It couldn't make sarcastic remarks. He never thought he would miss them, he often grew tired of them. But now they were gone and he definitely missed them.
P
And now the meager replacement of his lively padawan, Former Padawan, had fallen to pieces. Even that was gone now.
P
He thought he was getting paranoid or was his new Padawan Anakin Skywalker really trying to get rid of all of Obi-Wan's stuff?
