Nature Cat's Nightmare

When Nature Cat has a nightmare about losing his friends in a very windy storm, he begins to feel very depressed, until his friends comfort him and make him feel better. This is my most emotional NC fanfic I have ever written, plus this was also inspired by a dream I had the year after Nature Cat first premiered on PBS.

Here's another Nature Cat story I wrote! I hope you enjoy.

It was nighttime at Nature Cat's home. Nature Cat and his three friends, Squeeks, Hal, and Daisy were tired after a day of exploring the outdoors.

"Wow. I'm feeling so tired after exploring!" Nature Cat said.

Soon, the four friends went to spend the night in Hal's doghouse. There were enough sleeping spots inside. There was a cat bed for Nature Cat to sleep on, and two beds for Squeeks and Daisy as well.

Then, after everyone got in bed, Nature Cat got into his cat bed, pulled himself under the covers, and closed his eyes. He soon felt there will be another day of exploring tomorrow, but suddenly, he was having a dream he wouldn't forget.

Nature Cat, Squeeks, Hal, and Daisy were walking outside looking at all the great sights there are. Suddenly, the sky begins to turn grey and stormy.

"Man oh man!" Daisy said. "We'd better get going! A storm is coming!"

"You got it Daisy!" replied Nature Cat.

"Let's move move move!" said Hal.

So, the four friends begin running, but just as they ran, the storm grew more and more big, and it started to get very, very, very windy.

"Oh no!" shouted Squeeks. "It's getting very windy." Suddenly, she was picked up by the wind.

"Squeeks!" Nature Cat shouted. She tried to grab her, but it was no use. The wind was way too strong. Squeeks was soon blown very far away.

Nature Cat, Hal, and Daisy hung their hands near a nearby tree. But soon, Hal lost his grip and was blown away. "Help me!" yelled Hal.

"NO!" Nature Cat shouted. "MY BEST FRIEND!" His worst fear then came when Daisy also lost her grip and was blown away by the wind.

"My friends are gone!" Nature Cat said, bursting into tears. Soon he was then blown by the wind.

Nature Cat gasped as he woke up. His gasp was so loud that Squeeks, Hal, and Daisy woke up. His three friends came over to him. Nature Cat began to sob.

"What's wrong, Nature Cat?" asked Squeeks.

"Come on, tell us. You can do it." said Hal.

"What's the matter, Nature Cat?" asked Daisy. "Just tell us anything you want. We are always here by your side."]

Nature Cat lifted his head, wiping his eyes with his hand. "Well...I just had...a nightmare." he said, trembling.

"Really?" asked Hal.

"What was it about?" asked Squeeks.

"Well, in my dream...I was walking with all of you...until a storm came, the wind was so strong that it blew you all away...I was so sad by this..." Nature Cat said, still trembling. Soon, he started breaking down crying. Hal came over to him and comforted him with a hug.

"There, there Nature Cat." Hal said calmly. "We will always be with you whenever you explore."

Soon, Squeeks, and Daisy joined in and the three friends hugged Nature Cat in a tight embrace.

"We love you, Nature Cat." Squeeks, Hal, and Daisy said.

"I love you too, guys." Nature Cat said, calming down.

Soon, the four friends went back to bed. Nature Cat then slept peacefully, purring from his throat filled the entrance to Hal's doghouse. In the morning when he wakes up, everything will be alright, as long as he had his friends with him, always.
