Hello Awesome person! This is my first story with Nexus in it. It's based on that Simpsons clip show episode where Homer gets that wagon musical. Very random. :)
Disclaimer: I do not own anything associated with WWE or the Simpsons.
Read and Review guys! Please? :)
It was quiet... A bit, too quiet. Wade Barrett searched around the house. None of his fellow Nexus members were anywhere to be found.
That's when he heard it. Somewhat of a commotion outside. He poked his head around the door to see his friends standing around a wooden wagon. Justin was painting it while the others watched intently.
Wade watched as Heath stepped forward. "Why are you the only one that's allowed to paint the wagon?"
Justin looked up from the wagon. "Because it's my wagon."
"If you just let me paint it too maybe we could get it done faster!"
"Gosh Heath, you are such a genius! But can you paint with the same perfection as me?"
"Yes."
"Well...Prove it by singing this randomly awesome song with me!"
"You mean.."
"Yes.."
"I love that song!"
Out of nowhere, some really cheesy music started playing. Darn you Tarver, Wade thought to himself.
Justin and heath linked arms.
"Gonna paint our wagon, Gonna paint it good, We ain't braggin', We're gonna coat the wood!"
They began skipping around in circles as David, Tarver, Skip, Mike and Husky began to clap and sing. "They're gonna paint their wagon, gonna paint it good, they ain't braggin', they're gonna coat the wood!"
Heath and Justin continued to paint, but before long, Wade had had enough. It was time to stop the insanity. Something just wasn't right. "Eh! What are you doing in my yard?" Wade bellowed at Justin. Everyone backed away as Wade approached the wagon.
"I'm just painting this wagon..you got a problem with me painting this wagon because if you do, speak now or forever hold your peace." Justin crossed his arms across his chest defensively. This wagon was special to him.
Wade looked back at Justin with his eyebrow raised. No more wedding movies for him.
"Yeah, I do.." Wade replied. "You missed a spot.."
"Oh.." Justin said sadly before grinning. "Well grab a brush and start painting!" Justin threw a brush at Wade. He knew what this meant. It was his turn to sing.. but the music never started. "Tarver!"
Tarver looked up startled. "Oh! Sorry Wade!" Suddenly, the cheesy music started playing.
"I'm gonna paint this wagon, I'm gonna paint it fine, I'm going to use oil-based paint because this wood is pine!" Wade painted the spot that Justin missed and started grinning. Painting wagons was fun.
"Ponderosa Pine!" Everyone looked over to the door. Darren had just walked out, clearly excited that the wagon was being painted.
"Oh hey Darren!" Skip said happily.
"Hey guys! Can I help paint the wagon?"
"Oh.." Justin said nervously. "We just finished painting it.."
"Maybe you could take some off and I could paint it again..?"
"Sorry Darren, we already sang the song." Wade replied grinning, still enjoying the real life musical moment.
"Can't you sing it again?"
"Nah.." Wade slapped Darren on the back as they all headed inside. "Maybe next time.."
Darren stood in the back yard. He kicked the grass angrily. "I never get to paint the wagon..."
