My collection of drabbles on random pairings (canon, non-canon, yaoi…we'll see). Have a request? I'll see if I can make it happen. I usually write about canon pairings, but then again, I usually write more angst than fluff.

Pairing: Sheelos (Sheena and Zelos).

Rating: K.

Dedication: To my mom, who wakes me up every morning, and to my friend, who wanted something with the word "morning."

Pointless Sheena/Zelos interaction xD enjoy.

oOoOoOo

Sheena hated mornings more than anything else in the world. The sun would blaze through her room, and she'd throw the covers over her head in frustration, trying to pretend it was still nighttime but always failing miserably. Even if Sheena was fully awake, she'd doze, dreaming of last night, reflecting on what she had to do today, thinking about…

"Sheena, wake up!" Oh, that voice never ceased in annoying her. It buzzed in her ear when she had the greatest thought, some brilliant idea, and after it stopped whining…she forgot what she just thought of.

"Sheenaaa…" The summoner unconsciously smirked into her pillow. Maybe the voice would go away today in exasperation, and she'd be able to sleep another hour before…

Splash! Sheena sputtered incoherently as the ice-cold water hit her with the force of a ton of bricks, drenching her to the bone. Tossing away her soaked blankets, Sheena sat up in a rush, shivering in the frigid winter air and wrenching her eyes open.

Her eyes scanned the room and narrowed dangerously at the figure before her. Zelos stood there, holding a worn wooden bucket and grinning like the moron he was.

"'Bout time you woke up, my sweet, voluptuous hunny."

"You—" Sheena stopped mid sentence and let out an animalistic growl, her glare intensifying. The red-haired Chosen's smug, mischievous expression faded at the sight of a dripping, livid Sheena slowly sauntering forward. Zelos stood there, frozen, watching the summoner warily.

"—Idiot Chosen!" With that, Sheena lunged for Zelos, who promptly bolted out of the room like a bat out of hell. She followed down the stairs, not far behind, ignoring the biting cold of the marble beneath her bare feet.

She caught sight of his smirking face just before he turned a corner. Scowling furiously, Sheena dashed into the kitchen after him. She grabbed the nearest object off the counter and spun to face Zelos.

"Woah, Sheena, calm down!" Zelos ducked, narrowly avoiding the rolling pin Sheena had hurled at him. It hit the pantry door with a loud thud.

"C-calm down?!" Sheena repeated indignantly. "You walk into my room, dump a bucket of water on me, and you're telling me to calm down?"

"Well, you wouldn't wake up!" Zelos retorted defensively. "And these waffles I've spent so much time working on would've gotten cold if you slept 'till noon!"

Sheena opened her mouth to retort, but quickly closed it. Did she hear right?

Zelos gestured at the round table next to him. Sheena stepped forward, curious. A ruby rose enclosed in a simple, elegant vase sat next to a plate of waffles and a large bottle of maple syrup. Momentarily forgetting her anger, the summoner reached for the fork and took a large bite of the top waffle.

They were strawberry flavored. Sheena savored the taste, licking her lips. As she reached for the maple syrup, Zelos reached forward and grabbed her arm.

"Don't you have anything to say to me, hunny?"

"They're good," Sheena blurted. A blush crept across her cheeks.

"Of course they are," Zelos declared, grinning proudly. "I made them."

The summoner halfheartedly punched his arm. "I'm still mad at you, idiot."

Ignoring Zelos's cry of protest, Sheena sat down and contentedly poured a generous helping of syrup onto her waffles. If mornings were this delicious, she'd wake up willingly every day.
