Solid Air
By SMYGO4EVA

No one in this world will ever find me.

No one.

Yuuki knew this all too well when she would become a blood-drinker, when she became one, and she knew that soon she would lose her humanity one day.

Deep down, she had always known that.

Blood-drinkers and humanity were linked from birth into this strange existence, into what charcoal nights can coalesce into, and linked they remain, two sides of the same coin.

One dark, one darker.

The purebloods lead into the everlasting twilight and soon humanity follows.

It is how it has always been.

A serpent had yet to claim the innocent Eve from the blessed garden.

They were damned.

God would surely torment the blood-drinkers for their sins, the hellish fires sure to burn them alive for all time.

In those fires, there would be two serpents in a bind that was never to be broken, even in burning flames of judgment.

Two serpents would coil against each other in rituals of pureblood sin, binding, entrapped, wrapping cool scales together so they never separate.

His fangs would glisten, piercing her porcelain neck, crimson dying what was once white and it would never be pure ever again. She would scream in sheer pain and unadulterated agony, soon dulling into ecstasy as she trembled under his grasp, in absolute yearning.

He was a vampire; she was human.

One dark, one darker.

Rido, the blood-drinker, was hungry for the image of Yuuki's beautiful mother, Juuri.

She was the mirror image of her, the beautiful Queen.

The tender princess was soon taken by the blood-drinker in this sweet night, within the sweet dream, and into a lovely nightmare.

Within the solid air, within what was there and what was already in existence.

Something that wasn't to be seen, but it was there.

But it was too late now.

They move as one, and her nightmare starts now.
